What did Miles specialize in O line? we had some pretty mediocre O lines in his tenure. Tight ends? He never used them. You really can't say offense, because anyone can run our offense the last 10 years. It seems he needed to depend on his coordinators just as much as O would. So if O recruits on a high-level like he is known to do we will be all right.
I think Coach O gets it and is going to stay with the times
The point of my post is I don't think O is going to be so hardheaded and he's going to Bring in the right coordinators to stay with the times. not to mention our team played more disciplined when he took over and undisciplined was a big problem hundred miles

Oh I feel much better now knowing our new coach has the same skill set as the coach we just fired. Thank god.

If Miles just got out of the way he'd still be the coach today.

The problem is we shouldn't fire Les to hire another Les. We needed a big time change.

Coach O is the motivation and discipline guy.

And the fact that he's comparable to Miles in this regard is exactly why we're worried O didn't specialize in offense or defense.

Hiring a coach that is similar to a coach we just fired is suppose to give us comfort?

Just like with Miles, we are at the mercy of our coordinators. Elite college head coaches are gifted offensive or defensive "specialists" who hire coordinators to implement their philosophy. When was the last time LSU had this type of HC??...

Love how everybody wanted to fire Miles because they thought we could win more with someone else. Now all we expect his replacement to do is be as good as him.

It was a simple lack luster effort with no real search. No one except O actually interviewdo for the job. Alleva must be fired. He has degraded LSU sports to unacceptable levels.

We've been bitching about miles for years goddamn it. Don't use it in your argument.

So many flaws in your simple minded argument. Here's a few.

1. Great recruiter, but how do you know he can recruit for a system? You think he knows which players to recruit? Let me guess, google search and recruit all the players with a bunch of stars!

2. Does he even have a system?

3. You're still using the "better then Miles" argument. Miles is gone and you're gonna miss him.

Where'd you get this?? Or did you just throw it in there because the "motivation" argument needed help?

And I expect him to bring in a better O Coordinator than Studrawa and Cam
