Does anyone ever say "Well we're going to come out lollygagging and playing grab-arse and throw ice water around until about mid way through the second quarter." I bet they are also going to give 110% effort too.

Haha man, it is amazing how much attention is being paid to Florida's defense. Really, they are good but they are not LSU/Bama 2011 good. Should be a good game...

Throw a screen early for their over aggressiveness and profit

They did a pretty good job of kicking the OL's arse last year and and it's virtually the same OL for LSU this season. To this point the LSU OL has been good (tough they are still middle of the pack in sacks allowed). People talk about LSU getting the ball out quickly, but there have been several plays where Burrow waited for the routes to develop and had time to do so. Can the OL do it against the UF defensive front?

Need to get the ball first and score. Set a track meet tone early and make them feel pressure to keep up.
I like this approach. Florida doesn't seem like a team built to come from behind or win in a shootout. If we get a 2-possession lead early, it will force Trask to try to beat us. They will become one-dimensional and the defense will feast.

* Hit Trask often
* Play quick on Offense
* Plays to stem pass rush
* Crowd make it tough for UF O to hear anything.
And smack em in the mouth

I have no doubt someone's getting a targeting call early on from a QB hit

Maybe we go hurry up to score couple TD's and then begin to slow it down some to save the D ??"
SO slow it down after being up 14-0? Never happen.

That is going to be the game plan for everyone against us. UCF tried that last year and, while they did knock the hell out of Joe once, we drug our sacks across their faces. Texas tried it this year, but we didn't back down. Vandy tried it. As the level of competition and athleticism increases, it will be important for us to match physicality. We're going to take some licks but we better give them right back.

A lot of people are of the opinion that the difference in this game will be between our O and their D, both of which are outstanding, but I believe it will actually be between our D and their O. After watching last weeks FL vs AU game, I came away thinking the AU qb was in over his head. He threw picks with no pressure and open receivers, Burrow has shown he will not do that. FL's O was actually pretty putrid and relies on the run. Aranda will probably stack the box and make Trask beat them with his arm, which, with our db's does not appear a good option. If they have a lot of 3 and outs, which appears likely, there D will be worn out by the beginning of the 4th and that will be when our O will pour it on.

Florida will come out physical to try to set tone
The tone they will want to set is 'this is going to be a long brutal day'
Our tone will be 'this is going to be a even longer more brutal day, especially for your DBs, and we're not going to let up at all'.

They may try to come like that but AU took something out of them last week.... they a bit beat up......
I feel the same way, it's hard to get up two weeks in a row...then how beat up are they? As physical as a game as the FL-AUB game was I can't see the Gaytors keeping up the same intensity for four quarters...

LSU needs to go all Aikido on them and use their own momentum against them. You know they will over pursue so screens and short passes over the middle into the zone that opened because the linebacker blitzed. Use their over aggressiveness against them.

I agree, it would take them out of their game plan of running so much (which is what I expect them to try to do).

Just hope the refs don’t frick us by letting them play dirty

Ask UCF how that worked out
