From 2010 to Joe Burrow. Brennan has 300 in his first two games that he started.

This is per Matt Moscona on AFR. Interesting stat.

Yes he will. Looking for a little more efficiency and for the offense overall to look a little more crisp. Seems to be headed in the right direction. Obviously the opponent is something to consider. We'll really find out what we have in 2 weeks.

Our fans are retarded to think Brennan isnt doing good so far.

Edit: but we’ll see how he does against a top defense.

Week 1 he seemed very uncomfortable in the pocket. Still a little antsy against Vandy but I could definitely see a little improvement. He will get more comfortable as the season goes on.

Brennan will have the 2nd best statistical season for an LSU qb this year. People who are down on him are spoiled by Joey B and need to remember the Les Miles days of begging for a completed pass.

Brennan will be pretty good this year and make a big leap next year. Needs the experience and the key guys around him are young/inexperienced too.

He held the ball way too long vs Moo U and overlooked his outlets, but improved greatly vs Vandy.

You only saw a little improvement?

In game 1 he held on to the ball like it was the one ring that ruled them all while he "scrambled" out of a clean pocket into the arms of the nearest defender.

In game 2 he was very decisive and seemed to know exactly who to throw to and where to go to avoid the rush. Even his int was a good decision. Racey was open, Brennan just air mailed it.

I thought it would have been more than 5, Peej. Seems like Mett would have had 5 on his own.

how many attempts has he had compared to QBs other than Burrow or 2001 Davey?

So, he wasn't Burrow or Davey in his first two starts. Doesn't mean that he hasn't played well because he didn't duplicate what two of the best LSU QBs ever did in their career. Of course he needs to improve.

Burrow struggled too, I'm just saying the other guys had very few attempts from 2000-17 compared to MB

Davey was like 4/11 with 2 picks in his first start against Auburn in 1999 before he was benched for Booty. His first two starts were not Arkansas in 1999 and Tennessee in 2000 if that's what you remembered.

I wasn't thinking of their first games. I meant their body of work. Should have been more clear.

Couldn’t believe it either but we had 7, not 5.

I think Mett had 5 and Etling had 2

Joe had 2 in 2018, then only 1 under 300 last season (UF)

lol

Mett is the most overrated QB in LSU history. Great arm, no sense. Personally lost two ball games for us and failed to win another that was setup for him - and that’s in just two seasons. I’m talking Ole Miss, Clemson and Georgia.
