And none of that has anything to do with whether or not he could have had 5 300 yard passing games considering his overall stats.

I’m talking Ole Miss, Clemson and Georgia.

This one is on Les. Clemson could not stop Jeremy Hill to save their lives. Only to barely see the field in the second half.

I will never say that Met was a superstar, but blaming him for ANY of those losses is stupid.

and Georgia.

Mett was awesome in that game. We lost that game because Beckham muffed a punt. He had 372 yards passing, 3 TDs and no picks. We scored on 7 of our 9 possessions until our last possession of the game when we got the ball back with like a minute left. How in the world can you pin that game on him? How exactly was that "setup for him"? He led a TD drive to take the lead with less than 4 minutes to go, and our defense promptly gave up a 75 yard TD drive to lose the lead. I'm sorry, but you don't score 41 points on the road to a top 10 team and then blame the QB

I'll give you the Ole Miss game. The Clemson game was on Miles' dumb arse. And you're way off on Georgia.

Couldn’t believe it either but we had 7, not 5.

I think Mett had 5 and Etling had 2

When I thought it was only 5 as originally reported, I was gonna go Mett 3, Harris and Etling with 1 apiece. Btw, Etling is very underrated by LSU fans. Dude was limited physically, but he was a gamer and tough as frick. He helped us tread water with all the shenanigans in ‘16 and ‘17, and didn’t let the bottom fall out. Without him, I don’t think we’re nearly as attractive to Joe to come in in ‘18. Respect to Danny E.

Mett is the most overrated QB in LSU history. Great arm, no sense. Personally lost two ball games for us and failed to win another that was setup for him - and that’s in just two seasons. I’m talking Ole Miss, Clemson and Georgia.

Get the frick out of here. That’s absolute nonsense. Just....frick you AND go frick yourself. In whichever order. Though they may be the same thing.

Good enough to get drafted despite back problems. Considering the system and his limited athletic ability he was pretty decent.

That guy is an absolute moron. He comes in and makes these ridiculous statements that don't even have anything to do with what's being said and then never comes back.

Joe had 2 in 2018, then only 1 under 300 last season (UF)

If you scroll through LSU's passing stats over 100 years of football, 2019 is the headscratcher - the outlier - "This is a 100 years of passing in 1 season."

ETA: By way of example - Hodson's senior season (1989) was not a great season by a longshot (4-7), but statistically it was great for him and one of the great season performances for an LSU passer, ever. 183/317, 2655 yards, 22 TDs, 12 INTs. Other than a little under 60% and the INTs should have been lower, little to quibble about from a pure passing performance. Few LSU QBs had ever approached such lofty benchmarks (and Hodson was a 2k passer every year for 4 years, giving him the career record relatively easily - a record that still holds) for a season, and we didn't really have a pure passing performance like that again until 2013.

Joey B did most of that by Game 7 in 2019, finishing the year with over 2x the completions, only about 40% more attempts, over 2x the yardage, almost 3x the TDs and half the INTs.

What we forget is that Joey B's junior year (2018) looked a lot like Hodson's senior year(1989) with a little extra mustard. Shockingly similar pattern of stats overall, though.

how many attempts has he had compared to QBs other than Burrow or 2001 Davey?
Not sure what's so funny about that? How well a quarterback is doing has something to do with how many attempts they're given. If they are throwing picks and consistently going 3 and out, they wouldn't continue calling a majority of passing plays and even if they did, they wouldn't accumulate that many attempts.

He held the ball way too long vs Moo U and overlooked his outlets, but improved greatly vs Vandy.

I don’t know why this has any downvotes. It’s exactly true and I hope to see him get better all year

Modern offenses are a hell of a thing.

But I said Last week that Brennan’s biggest issue was confidence. Overthinking and not letting it rip.

Brennan will be pretty good this year and make a big leap next year.

Will be a front runner for the Heisman going into next year. The kid was nails in high school because of his talent and, most importantly, his experience. He will be very good by this year's end...very good. And watch out next year.
