I can see 22-8 in all honesty.
I think this team is THAT good
This is how I see it. It would be amazing if we won more than 22 games, but I don't see that happening.

I'm wanting to say 23-7. This team is good, but I don't know if they're that good. Going 14-7, essentially winning every series or sweeping one for every one your drop..... tall order considering whowe have yet to play.

20 wins would be awesome. Anything above that would be phenomenal.

22-8
They'll average winning 2/3 from here on out.

How South Carolina went 25-5 one year is amazing...I don't think that record will be broken. However, if we had KG this year, I could really see it...I'll say we finish the year 21-9. Lose two series, sweep one other.

Final SEC Record Prediction....
April is LSU baseball's month of reckoning. The three teams we have played so far in SEC play are a combined 6-21 in SEC play. Even if you back out the 1-8 record they've compiled against LSU, they are still only 5-13 vs. everyone else.
The next four series are much tougher. Kentucky, Arkansas, Alabama and South Carolina are a combined 24-12 in SEC play, which includes a 3-3 combined record for Arkie and SC when they played each other, so in reality, these four teams are 21-9 against everyone else. UK and SC are at home, while Arkie and Bama are on the road in back-to-back weeks.
If LSU can get through this month with a winning record in these four series, then it should be a pretty good sign. That would mean at least a 15-6 SEC record going into May, when Florida, A&M and Ole Miss (currently a combined 13-14) close out the schedule, with both Florida and Ole Miss at home. If we can go 6-3 in those, then that would mean 21-9, which would be a pretty good showing.
With seven non-conference games left, we can go 5-2 in those and end up 44-12 overall. If we can win a couple of games in the SEC tournament, then 46-14 should be enough to secure a national seed, which is really all that matters.
But these are all big "ifs". A winning record over the next four series, 6-3 over the final three, and 5-2 in the remaining OOC games will not be easy.

Pretty amazing what Vandy did in conference this year. I hope we play them somewhere down the road.
Posted on 5/20/13 at 2:32 pm to 3HourTour
it is, but keep in mind the 4 worst teams in the SEC were all in the East. Vandy is great, but their ridiculous SEC record was helped tremendously by that.

yes, by avoiding Arky and getting to play Tenn and UGA they edged us.
