Personally I would take a national championship season in any of the 3 major sports over a non national championship season, but I’m also just as big of a baseball fan as I am basketball.
To me, watching a team make a run in Omaha is just as enjoyable as watching a team make a run in the tournament.
As for notoriety I think a tournament run would obviously bring more immediate attention to LSU because it’s much more popular nationally but I’m not sure how much of a difference it would make in the long run. See 2006 for example

The error of your argument is that NOBODY 30 feet outside of BR gives a flying fLuck about college baseball. There is a big 2, not a big 3.
