This reminds me of a combination of the 2003,2007 and 2019 Roster.

Experience. Top-shelf Frosh contributors. Depth. Talent across the Roster. Strong QB. Strong Special Teams. Hungry Tigers.

Plus, that schedule looks like '19 in terms of navigation-ability.

I'm feeling it

BIG TIME.

I'm sooo ready.

I’m so into baseball right now. Have been watching, reading, and listening to, everything I can get my hands on.

Talent and depth wise I really like this team.

My biggest concern is the new coaching staff. I like the hires it's just that their ability to scheme, gameplan and adjust is a virtual unknown on both sides of the ball.

You really think the O-Line will be good enough?

id pump the brakes until we know what the defense can and cannot do.

after all, coach o did say the defense was leaps and bounds better under belini than under aranda before the first game was even played last season; and we all know how that turned out

I'm guessing one of those 2 is Bama. So who is the other team that LSU can't beat?

That is not the ceiling or basement for this team. A natty is the ceiling. Basement is probably 8-4.

Talent is there. o line/LBs and new coaches are the question marks. I think the O Line will be fine, but LBs in the right place and tackling in space is a concern (like last year). Hopefully new coaches will help.

You know how hard it is to have everything fall into place to win a National Title????? Two years ago we just happen to have the perfect QB. We don’t have close to that this year…..

Disagree.

10-3 floor
14-1 ceiling.

It's still pretty similar to what we had in 2019. Ingram and Deculus still here and should hopefully improve under the new coach. Hines and Shanahan are downgrades from Cush and Lewis but they're still experienced seniors. I'd rather Wire starting a full season than a combination of Charles/Rosenthal getting suspended half the season. And we have continuity across the entire line for the first time in a while so hopefully they've gelled well together.. I think the run blocking will be fine but having a QB who can make quick decisions will be important.

Won't beat Bama at Bama, we can revisit this after the game.

2003 and 2007 say hello.

LSU is one of the few schools in the nation that has the talent to compete for a title. LSU certainly has the talent this year for a run. I agree things have to fall into place, but to assume they don't have the talent to compete is kind of crazy.

I never said we didn’t have the talent to compete for one. All I said was that everything fell in place in 2019. We do not have the confidence level of the QB position that we had in 2019. And I’m not sure about the RB position…..

You don't have to have it either. Unless your defense is mediocre or sucks. If LSU's defense is good, and the O-Line is good, Johnson (any QB for that matter) will thrive as long as they are put in a good position to be successful. Johnson is the real deal. This year could be a huge year for him. You just don't know until you play. But if I had to put money on it. LSU loses 2 games. Bama will be one of them, I don't know who the other is yet. Maybe Florida.
