Way to many questions for me to be confident in this team. The first game of the season will tell you a lot. I won't be suprised if UCLA beats LSU, even with a win I don't think they contend for a Natty.

I’ll give you UCLA if you’d care to make a wager

I’d feel a lot better if we had Gilbert coming back.

Why? So he could quit after the first set back and then ask for another ransom to play his Jr season?

Amuck and Flynn had way more experience than Myles or Max….

Flynn appeared in a lot of games but Myles and Max have both started more games and thrown more passes than Flynn heading into 2007

Ok. You can look at it that way but 2007 had a way more experienced offense than this team does….. not even close.

We lost our starting QB, RB and our best 2 WR before the season started. Hester only has 139 carries. Williams and Scott were sophmores. Lafell was a Sophmore who had 5 catches in 2006 and Byrd was a Juco transfer.

It’s pretty amazing we had the season we did given the amount of talent we lost after 2006

Everyone on our OL is between their 4th and 6th year of college. Wire is the only one without a full season as a starter under his belt.

Hell half the board wanted Clyde replaced and no one knew that our WRs were gonna blow up like they did.

This is wrong. It was clear from the Texas A&M and UCF games (last two games of 2018) that the offense was turning the corner, and that Jefferson and Chase were poised for very big seasons in 2019.

Looking at this 2021 team, I see Boutte and that's about it. Not nearly the same.

That's my point there are very big questions on both sides of the ball especially defense.

Ok, you can look at it that way.

But, you stated that we basically needed a top ranked qb to go anywhere. Mr Mauck and Mr Flynn are proof that it’s not necessarily needed. We need leaders, I think we have them at qb. Stop spinning it.

Won't beat Bama at Bama, we can revisit this after the game.

Me too. My one pause in doing so is that it's our first game of the season and in their house, while they play Hawaii the week before at home. As they say, the biggest improvement comes from game one to game two, so that's certainly an advantage for UCLA. That being said, STTDB: Tigers 41 Bruins 27.
