I used to listen to games about 120 miles offshore on the platforms.

offshore gulf of mexico (working), baltimore (school), southern minnesota (inlaws).
my father-in-law and i were cleaning some fish last summer, and he wanted to listen to the Twins on WCCO (830). he's messing around w/ the dial on his little radio in the garage, and a station comes in clear, but it's in commercial. Sure enough, next voice over the airwaves is Bobby Hebert. WWL was coming in clear as a bell.

St. Louis has got a flamethrower of their own - I used to pick up Cardinal baseball games here In Baton Rouge when I was a kid.

Could probably catch a "skip" and hear it in Japan.

I can catch it when it's cold and clear in Cincinnati. So bittersweet; it reminds me of listening to the games back home.

On a clear night, WWL comes in crystal clear in Huntsville, AL. Any cloud cover and it goes rapidly downhill.
Day games are a total washout due to the Mexican Super stations drowning it out.
I have built a 1/4 wave dipole and strung it up in the house for the cloudy nights...worked ok..but not as good as the cloud-less nights.

I picked it up in IN one time at night
Same here. 2006 Mich/Notre Dame game in South Bend. We were leaving the game and started searching for stations and I'll be damned if the LSU game popped up.
We were not complaining.

The farthest I've caught 870 is somewhere between Memephis and Chicago.
It comes in pretty good at night in Houston. During hurricane Ike I listened to the N. Texas game in my car.
