this is one of the greatest posts in rant history. Funny thing is, you are being serious.

if this game happens it will be huge. A few blogs that 20 people read will not keep this game down. It will set some records for vieweship, imo

This. I've had this thought since the beginning of this whole stupid debate. LSU played Bama and beat them. FACT. The Debate of who was better was settled on the field. To arbitrarily decide that Bama is entitled to a rematch based on wins over Arky and Penn State, and a close loss to LSU, seems like a slap in the face to the rest of college football. It's almost like they are being rewarded for managing to keep the game close, while still losing. Bama was given the opportunity to prove that it was Number 1 in it's own stadium and failed. To exclude the rest of the field from contention and the opportunity to play for the NC on the field seems, well, wrong.

+1

Man, why is it that logical guys like you are in the vast minority here...

Did you happen to catch the ratings for the Nov. 5 game?

Why don't you go look those up and get back to us.

This is no BS. There is a lot of resentment that the SEC champ has an automatic berth in the BCS champ game and the other 112 teams have to fight over the other one. Is Bama 2nd best, sure, but that's not the point, they had their shot. If Bama is the only one loss team, that seals it, but watch the move toward anyone else if there is an option.

The people that pay for he game ain't happy about an all SEC champ game.

If you are not, I apologize. I thought you were the oregon poster breaking down play from preseason. Now that I think about it, it might have been fishduck or something like that. I am man enough to admit when I am wrong.

The rest of my post stands. Les may come across as a goofball sometimes, but I'll be damned if someone cuts down his character. If you cannot take off the green and yellow glasses and realize the integrity with which Miles has conducted himself since coming to LSU, I don't know what to do.

I feel bad for LSU fans having this great year and title game and the whole country will not tune in to watch it.

This would probably hurt ESPN more than LSU fans, but that's just my opinion...

the BCS is not about finding out who is the 2nd best team, but rather who is the 1st best team. And we all know that is not Bama, as LSU already beat them

It's about matching the two best teams in the country for a ch...oops wait, already did that

Maybe if teams like Oregon and Oklahoma didn't suck so much, the rest of the poor nation wouldn't have to watch an LSU/Bama rematch.

In other words, learn how to play grown man football and maybe you can avoid being dominated on national television by LSU.

Then you wouldn't have to whine about the big, bad, mean old SEC.

P.S.

You sound pretty much like the average, whiny fan of a PAC whatever football team. Way to represent.

No he said he "would be honored to play them in the NC game"

Any coach would/should be honored to play any team in the NC game. With all the negativity surrounding Cam Newton last year was Chip Kelly not honored to play Auburn? Cause I'm willing to bet he was.

Les said what needed to be said. The only response he could make without being drug through the coals and it was the truth. Your inability to see this says something about your mental capacity I think.

which team could LSU play that would draw higher ratings?

that's a bullshite statement. NOLA will be rocking and the BCS people are going to make a shite load of money because of all the people that tune into watch the game. It will be huge. You are kidding yourself

It's not about the rematch issue with most here. We've been discussing that ad nauseum. Welcome to the party.

But most here do NOT appreciate you taking shots at out coach's character. Even those who get mad as hell at Les sometimes respect him as a classy person. Take it somewhere else, we're all stocked up on shite here.

I actually agree with the OP. I think if this is SEC vs. SEC that it will be the end of the BCS which is a good thing. I think next year we end up with a plus 1 game which I don't like considering all we had to do to get to this game. I also think the BCS is doing its job in finding the best team in the nation on the field. LSU is better than Bama even if it is by 3 pts. Someone else should get a shot. Okie State, Va Tech or Stanford. I would lean towards Stanford.

Recently Les Miles has changed tunes and become a hypocrite in saying he would welcome facing Bama again for the title in a rematch. He has lost a lot of respect from many who remember him saying that maxim but now being a hypocrite...

Seriously? He's saying he will play anyone, anytime, including a rematch with Bama. Just because you pansies can't take care of it on the field doesn't give you the right to be self-righteous in your temper tantrum. Good grief, you freaking woosies. And yeah, the ratings score from lsu/bama really shows how "disinterested" the rest of the country is. If it does happen, we all know you're gonna be watching anyway. Les Miles a hypocrite? You're a stinking pansy. I wish oregon would have beat usc just so we could whip ya'll again. Yes "ya'll", its southern for "you whiny northwest arrogant little girls", but at least you have pretty uniforms.

Want to make a bet on this game being more highly rated than the Oregon - Auburn game?

Most folk here probably agree with the anti-rematch logic. That isn't the issue with you and this thread. You said the whole country would boycott the game and called our coach a liar.

...and that is just stupid.

Exactly. I wouldn't have responded if he had just said the rest of the country does not like the idea of SEC vs SEC and left it at that. But taking pot shots at miles is getting old.

I would rather play someone other than Bama, but they are the number 2 team. These people call coaches and sports writers across the NAtion have voted them in that position.

Tell me Duck, who is the 2nd best team out there?
