Top check writing team in country.
I don't mind "Check Writing" for new and improved facilities at all. (PIMger Stadium, PMAC and Alex Adbox all need renovations and/or partial tear downs)

"Buying/Purchasing" classes with NIL money is BS though.

In the same vein however, if Texas 8$4 does it and Bammer Rammer Jammer does it, then LSU has to do it equally, to stay competitive. (At least until more stringent and restrictive measures are put into effect)

I want LSU to do something similar to what OU has done.

Set up funds to get everyone a "piece of the pie"

Now, NIL cash is another story.

A&M will be a force with NIL deals. LSU can't compete with them from a financial standpoint. For every wealthy booster LSU has A&M has 15.

You are going to start seeing more power consolidate into the top 10 wealthiest programs unless changes are made.

Even $$$ can't make many of these kids like that Cult.

Now if this were a more attractive school, then sure.

You gotta believe Texas, OSU, USC are gonna be tossing $$ at some point.

That's what Saban said ours need when he got to LSU. You are right, that Arms Race is on along with NIL. You better bring a boat load of $$$.

There was a story about it in the Sunday. Houston Chronicle.

Saw this post and checked it out. Sad, sad world we live in today and our establishments of "higher learning" are quickly becoming a total cesspool.

A fool and their money are soon parted.

That is the story of Texas A&M athletics.

Might as well get used to it. aTm and UT have so damn much oil royalty money that they could be paying their students to attend.

Only an Aggie would apply the phrase "mind-blowing" to renderings that resemble an abandoned 1987 suburban corporate park.

It is actually embarrassing that their loser fans spend this kind of money. So desperate. And then to top it off, the program is as mediocre as it gets.

Still trying to buy a national championship team, I see.

They are so hard up for any type of title they will spend whatever it takes. Giving 18 thru 22 year old's millions to do it. So pathetic and desperate

What facilities are they specifically upgrading? They just redid their entire stadium and I thought their locker rooms and stuff were already fairly new and extremely nice?

I feel like there is a bubble with these facilities arms races that has to pop at some point. Maybe it’s because I’m older, but at some point they are all so nice how can you even tell the difference? Why do I care that you just spent $____ on a new dining hall or indoor facility or whatever, all the top schools have all the same stuff essentially and it’s Nice so what difference does it make beyond a certain threshold that I feel we’ve already reached? Plus I think someone else hit the nail on the head, if the powers that be don’t get a handle on NIL rules then recruits will care even less about your new $50M training room, they’ll only care about their piece.

They have to keep up with Baylor, who has best facilities in Texas and likely the southern US.
