Do you realize that we are one of the Top 10 teams in the country? Where must we be ranked before you can accept our coach?

IF IF IF....every counter argument is based on the fact that LSU will beat aTm. What if they don't?

than Coach O has one more chance to deliver a solid season or we go searching elsewhere. In my mind Coach O bought himself at-least one more chance with the showing this season, but another 5-3 SEC showing or worse we may need to do another coaching search.

Basically, the argument I've seen that Miles is better than O is as follows

Miles shouldn't have been fired in 2016, insert reason here
Coach O hasn't done anything yet and looked horrible vs Bama.
Therefore Coach O sucks

Based on what I've seen, Coach O is a great motivator of his players, they love to play for him.

We won three games we were not supposed to win. Miami (who ended up not being that good) Auburn (same thing) and Georgia (who controls their own destiny to the playoffs)

Looking back at 2017 his first year wasn't great but he still had some signs he could put together a good team.

Beat Auburn who was legit that year, they beat Bama and could have been in the playoff if it wasn't for Georgia.

Florida was ranked high when we played them and beat them at their place. They sucked the rest of the year but a step in the right direction.

The Troy game SUCKED but that was clearly a fluke not a sign of things to come.

Based on how LSU has performed to this point, Coach O is doing a good enough job to keep his job. We are not where we need to be that is clear, but we need to give him time.

Is he an upgrade over Les pre 1/9/2012 no, Les post 1/9/2012 yes.

Let alone we were picked to finish 5th in the west. Probably around a 4-4 SEC record. At worst we finish 3rd in the west now. (which wouldn't be great)

We don't have an extremely talented team this year but we are still playing very well.

Keep in Mind we don't have a stud running back, our WR are very inconsistent and our D outside of the secondary has depth issues. Also the O-line can't pass block.

This is not an upgrade over Miles, and what's worse is Ed has turned LSU into a finesse team. At least you can expect smash mouth football from a Mile's led team.

Better recruiting now, maybe not in ratings but in balanced depth.

We have one fricking DT committed. The dline haul last year sucked too. Again, his highest rated guys are skill guys. Same thing people bitched at Miles for.

Les Miles had grown stale and even his own players knew it. They quit on him time and time again after the Bama loss towards the end of his tenure. He would not change his beliefs. Orgeron has at least made many many changes for the better so far. He's shown he can make most adjustments, handle clock issues, teams are more disciplined and special teams is 100 times better. There obviously needs to be some more changes, but he has not been so stuck in his ways that he won't make those changes if need be. We shall see.

Not arguing your point, but which A1 coach was waiting for us to call?

Again, I stated in the very first line that it was time for Miles to go.

Hiring Ensminger was a change for the better?

handle clock issues

Not when he isn't smart enough to kneel it when his RB falls down to try to ice the game. Like it or not, that's a clock management issue. Otherwise, I agree, he has been good.

Miles left us with an balanced and depleted roster. With Miles we do not,get Burrow or Tracey or the kid kicking off. We lose to Miami Auburn Georgia Bama and probably Arkansas and TAM. We really would be 6 and 6.

When has Les ever been close to going 6-6?

then you haven’t been paying attention.

people are actually saying that Miles was justly fired. Actually if anything fired too late.

however, what we are currently seeing has not been an improvement.

and if it was a fireable offense for the previous regime, then it should not be applauded by this one.

Who knows? Doesn't seem like Alleva put forth any type of effort to find out. Even if there was not an "A1" coach, he could have searched the B1, C1, D1, E1, and F1 coaches before settling on Orgeron.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize our goal was to get the same results for a cheaper price. If that's the case, then mission accomplished.

Do you like to overpay for things? Wanna know how I know you're a "fries with that" kinda person?
