re: Experiences with bringing a baby to Tiger Stadium

I feel like a lot of people in this thread underestimate the ability of babies -- even under 1 year old -- to assimilate and acclimate. Bringing a baby to a football game can absolutely impart familiarity and emotional attachment to the experience later in life (and by later, I mean when they are toddlers and already excited about going the LSU game, even if they don't understand why they are excited).

I am not discounting any of the comments about the downsides -- heat, exhaustion, crowds, etc. But the constant refrain that there is no upside is simply not correct. The babies absolutely can benefit from the experience, and the family can as well. I don't know when family bonding ceased to be perceived as a positive, but I think it still should be. And an LSU game absolutely can be a family bonding experience, even for a baby.

Every parent should make the choice they think best for their family. But anyone projecting their own judgmental attitudes by dismissing any potential benefit are being overly judgmental, imo.

Also, my daughter is the most chill baby on the planet. Already went on three flights (two with an ear infection) and did not cry one time. She can handle Tiger Stadium, but we're not going to put any long term testing into that this season.

Where are your seats located? If the child has a "nosebleed seat" ticket, then you and your wife's seats need to be in that section as well, as the ticket-takers are under orders to not scan tickets marked for gates that they are not working at.

I agree - get a babysitter! I took my son when he was 4-5 and by the time the game was about to begin, he was miserable and I realized it was just too much for him for one day. Took him back a few years later and we had an awesome time!

You might hear neck so if you are are like some of the clowns on this board don't freak out when your daughter hears it lol.

Don’t listen to all these people saying don’t bring her. My sons first game was lsu at lambeau field at 11 mos and he had a blast. Pick a game later in the season so it’s cooler. Get the largest clear bag you can and pack all her goods needed in it. Bring ear protectors. And if she gets cranky or uncomfortable then leave if needed. Enjoy! I love sharing the memories at Tiger stadium with them:)
