how questioning was done that LSP felt like Kyren was at fault and sought to prove that as opposed to actually trying to figure out what happened.
If this is true they need to hang

This really pisses me off…how in the frick do they not either find and/or release that video until now.

There are SOOOO MANY people that owe an apology to Lacy and his family. The APOLOGY should be AS LOUD as the wrongful criticism!!!
Should be louder.

Seems like gold truck reacted to kyren doing something wrong. Your did not cause at all argument loses a lot of credibility
The gold truck slowing down to allow Lacy to get back in his lane was not the cause of the accident. The vehicle behind the gold truck that was speeding and tailgating so closely she had to swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid rearending the gold truck is the cause, and only cause, of the wreck. Had she not been speeding or tailgaiting the wreck wouldn’t have occured regardless of Lacy.

Well I’m leading you to some pieces that all of these events simultaneously affected each other.
Does the evidence support negligent homicide and felony hit and run? You are taking a very meek stance here.
People “contribute to” car accidents all the time and are often left with a slightly higher insurance premium or minor traffic tickets.
You being more focused on posters saying “this proves Kyren had nothing to do with this!” over the absolute miscarriage of justice that played a role in a young man taking his own life says alot about you as a poster but is also 100% on brand.
I love you “well ackshually” posters. Just want attention.

Kyren made an illegal maneuver to which he was cited and someone ended up dead.
You understand he was charged with negligent homicide and felony hit and run? Not cited for illegal passing?

Ok.
Ok.

Holy cow, the first page of this thread is chock full of abject ignorance and lack of critical thinking.
Wow.
Can’t read any further than that.

It’s also likely the gold truck tapped his brakes simply because he was being tailgated. Happens all the time

This is unequivocally correct based on the available evidence.
Again, we don’t even have to go to the definitive “Kyren had 0.00% role in the collision that took someone’s life.”
How can any reasonable person look at this record and conclude that KL is the only actor here who should be charged, yet alone with negligent homicide? Over the speeding tailgater who admittedly wasn’t paying attention? This isn’t a science experiment chain reaction where what happens “first” is by default “more responsible.” That’s not the way the law works.

This needs to be exposed at a national level. Send your messages to New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN, Fox News.

What is the Troopers name that handled this investigation?

My thoughts.
- Woman tailgating gold truck is responsible for the death of the man due to following too closely.
- KL was a contributing factor to the accident due to careless operation by passing 4 vehicles in a non passing zone and returning to proper lane of traffic less than 1.5 seconds before accident.
The poor witness statements and data shared to the public damaged KL's reputation and hurt his draft position, which was unfair.
- LSP trooper did poor job taking witness statement with leading statements and questions. He had eyewitness statements that contradicted each other. He needs to be disciplined and retrained. Did lawyer share LSP final reportsl? Or use selective excerpts to push his narrative?
- Lawyer is cherry picking data from reports. He should provide KL speed while overtaking 4 cars in no passing zone, leading gold truck to take evasive action. This was a casual factor to the accident.
The LSP and DA's final reports should be viewed in their entirety, not just one lawyers selective sharing of data.
---------
The gold truck slowed down and went off road due to oncoming green charger.
The woman who was tailgating and eating braked and swerved left hitting the deceased victims vehicle.
Woman was at fault for the death but incident was initiated buy careless driving causing the older gentleman to break and depart road to avoid incoming traffic.
KL passed up 4 cars in a no passing zone then returned to the proper lane of travel 72.6 yards before accident. Is KL and gold truck are both traveling at 50 MPH, that gave the gold truck driver less than 1.48 seconds to react. AVG reaction time is less than 1.5 seconds, so gold truck driver appears to take evasive action while green charger is still approaching him.
IF KL was driving at 65 mph to overtake 4 vehicles in a no passing zone before going until his proper lane of travel @ 72.6 yards, the reaction time for the gold truck was 1.29 seconds.
Scenario Analysis
In this situation, two vehicles are approaching each other head-on: one at 50 mph and the other at 65 mph, with an initial separation of 72.6 yards. The driver's available reaction time is the time until potential collision, assuming no braking or evasive action. This uses relative motion physics.
Step-by-Step Calculation
Determine relative speed:
The vehicles are moving toward each other, so relative speed = 50 mph + 65 mph = 115 mph.
Convert distance to miles:
1 mile = 1760 yards.
72.6 yards = 72.6 / 1760 ˜ 0.04125 miles.
Calculate time in hours:
Time = distance / relative speed.
0.04125 / 115 ˜ 0.000359 hours.
Convert time to seconds:
1 hour = 3600 seconds.
0.000359 × 3600 ˜ 1.29 seconds.
Key Insight
The driver has approximately 1.29 seconds to react before the vehicles would collide if neither brakes. This is even shorter than prior scenarios and falls below the average human reaction time of about 1.5 seconds, underscoring the high collision risk. Use automated safety systems and maintain greater distances to mitigate such dangers

He slowed down bc kyren was making an illegal maneuver ahead
The gold truck slowing down didn't cause the wreck. The lady following too closely behind him going so fast she had to swerve into oncoming traffic caused the fatal wreck. Had she been going slower at a reasonable distance, the mzn would still be alive.
The car in front of you can slow down for a myriad of reasons. If you are following so closely that your only reaction is to swerve headon into traffic it's your fault. Not the dog, kid, ball, traffic signal, vehicle, etc that prompted the car in front to brake a little.

But did the gold truck go off of he road? I didn’t see the gold truck in the video. And the Funyun lady said that the truck just stopped in the road (it’s typed out and showing the video)

I’m sure it will be found.

Never heard the guy in the gold truck state that he was reacting to Lacy
Posted on 10/4/25 at 9:15 am to Purple_People_Eater
He did say if I heard right that Lacy was coming head on. But he still said that the Funyun lady was the causing the accident.
