Every Single returning player for MBB is going to ask for more money.

the Chest thing is just the start.every single player is going to expect to get more money, did the AD not realize how this was going to go? You went very public saying you are bringing in more NIL money to pay the MBB team, well the returners are going to want more too. I know I would. Now they know you have more to pay out, id expect my portion to increase as well.

Honestly except for the 2 millers, they can all go and pay better players.

Sure. But their on court record and performance may not justfy it, but now they KNOW more money is coming to be able to be payed out. It’s game on

They can ask for anything they would like to ask for. If someone better comes along that will work for what we want to pay, they are free to leave. If we have no one better we’ll have to pay if we can afford it.

No shite. AD knows it too Captain Obvious.
The increase is on the team’s budget. Maybe some returning players are worth it, maybe not. If they are not worth it, let the players find out if somebody else thinks they are.

Nah.
We will either spend the money wisely or we won’t.
The assumption that players would have taken less than what they would have been offered elsewhere if a commitment to NIL wasn’t made openly is a false premise.

The current players on the terrible team were not all here because they were taking below their market NIL value….

Regardless of who stays/goes, we’re going to spend a few million dollars more than we did this year and end up with a few more sec wins. At best, we end up middle of the pack in the sec next year.
