Say we lose close, Bama wins SEC, Ohio State wins out, Clemson wins out. Our loss is better than OUs loss. Shouldn’t we be in the dance?

Depends if Baylor goes undefeated.

Even then, a 1 loss PAC 12 Champion would probably get in before a 1 loss SEC team. Regardless of who the loss is against.

Just keep winning and the chips will fall where they should.

No. Too many suitors right now.
Auburn will lose 1-2 more. Texas is not a quality win.
Pac12 champ and big 12 champ would get priority.

It's very possible.

Baylor/OU will factor in. Can't see them keeping an undefeated Baylor out. It would mean they beat OU, Texas and then won the Big 12 title game. I doubt that happens. One loss OU vs One loss LSU, the advantage should go towards LSU pretty easily (assuming it's a close game against Bama).

Then the PAC 12 factors in. One loss Oregon or Utah, I think LSU gets in above.

So yeah, I think chances are better for LSU over any other one loss team. Only thing that could screw that up would be UGA beating Bama in the SECCG. That would make it UGA and Bama, instead of LSU and Bama. I do think Auburn beats UGA though, and knocks out that chance.

No, but I don’t think we will need all that much chaos to get into the top 4 at 11-1 with a close loss on Saturday.

Florida losing and Auburn having to play UGA/Bama are really hurting our chances there.

I think a 1 loss Utah/Oregon will get in over us. Even if that is the wrong call.

Only shot is to lose a very tight and good game to Bama, and then never take the starters out again and motor boat everyone.

Or... we could just go 13-0.

I think we would have the best shot of anyone to get in without winning the conference but it’s not a lock if Oregon/Utah or OU win out they have conference titles so it could go either way, lot of factors

If Auburn goes 8-4 and Texas loses another then yes. The Florida loss to UGA doesn’t really hurt, look at their schedule they should be 10-2.

How do you expect to get an answer to a hypothetical question with any certainty?
In a month anything can happen to any team.
Just enjoy the season and ask these questions when the regular season games are over

no way the committee leaves out a 1-loss PAC-12 conf champ, when their only loss was a last-second one to Auburn. Or a 1-loss Big 12 champ, if OU dominates the rest of the way.

That mentality can GTFO.

LSU wants this regular season win bad. We need to assist in the Bama decline and do something we haven’t done in nearly a decade.

Not really. Are those of you that think that under the assumption that every team Oregon, Utah, Oklahoma, etc beat are just winning every single game?

When this season ends, Auburn, Florida, and maybe even Texas (they can beat Baylor still) will look like a better win than most other teams best win.

The only team out of the bunch that will maybe be able to make a case against LSU would be Oregon. OU or Utah will not stack up to LSU, and it won't be that close. LSU should also go in ahead of Oregon. And I'm not saying this with purple and gold glasses on. The conference championship argument shouldn't mean a damn thing.

Considering they put tOSU above us I'm gonna say we don't get in since apparently we're not consistent enough

I really wish people would drop this dumb shite. There is nothing at all wrong with tOSU being ranked #1 this week. And it doesn't hurt LSU's chances even the slightest bit.
