Was LSU even recruiting this kid? I don't follow recruiting like I used to, but this is the first time I've heard of him.

24/7 shows his final three were ND, Standford, and TCU.

Pretty low class, but everyone on both sides of this is starting to look bad.

For the recruit, someone has taken the time to spend with you and shown you respect in wanting you to play for their program. And then you pull a stunt like that. The fact that the family was also laughing about it shows the recruit is probably a low-character guy, as is his family.

Kelly needs to quit defending his decision to leave and quit taking about Notre Dame, in general. Taking shots at your former employer is a bad look. It’s something a low-character clown like Ed Orgeron does. Kelly is in a better place (he should believe that or just tell everyone he left for more money, which he won’t). He needs to start acting like it and quit talking about what he couldn’t do at Notre Dame.

And Marcus Freeman might want to win a game or two before his program starts getting all chesty. The next game he wins as head coach will be his first. Notre Dame chews up and spits out head coaches who don’t win big. Ask Gerry Faust, Bob Davie, Ty Willingham and Charlie Weis. He needs to put a muzzle on his players and his staff where LSU is concerned and stop rolling around in the mud with Orgeron.

No.

This:

Does not equal this:

quote:

It's okay to say that Notre Dame has lesser facilities than LSU.

If we're being honest the parallels between Saban to Bama with LSU fans and Kelly to LSU with ND fans is all pretty similar.

Nah. They will be saltier Bc Kelly literally chose LSU over ND. Saban chose NFL over LSU and then chose Bama over the NFL Bc he realized he liked CFB more than pro. If Saban jumped directly from LSU to Bama then the saltiness would be the same.

The kid is actually trolling the Notre Dame fans by putting on the LSU cap. LSU fans had never even heard of the kid.

Freeman might actually do fine there.

I think he will too but it’s all relative. He will do fine for what Notre Dame can do but he still will not compete at the very top.

I wouldn’t be surprised if after how LSU was able to get Kelly it doesn’t open the door to more people going after Freeman if he does well. Especially if Kelly is able to do great things here at LSU.

Sure he might. But no coach between Holtz and kelly won consistently there. It takes a special coach to win big at modern day ND. Is Freeman a special coach? Maybe, but we don't have any evidence of that yet as he has little experience in general. I'd also point out internal promotions rarely work out. They usually get fired for not living up to their predecessors standard

No one from LSU was even watching his commitment. If there is no one to troll, is it really trolling

I didn’t give a shite about Notre Dame before Brian Kelly was hired and I don’t give a shite about them now.

From related article:

quote:

During a press conference after spring football last week, offensive coordinator Tommy Rees spoke about the new culture. He said that Freeman was hanging out with grad assistants and treating them as equals.

Bahahahah. Yea, I want my coach hanging around the GA. Hell why recruit? Why work with existing players? Why work with assistant coaches? Why watch tape?

GAs is where championships start, right?

Who cares? If you’re in a better place, you don’t need to talk about the previous place. It’s calling moving on. He’s brought it up more than once.

When you dump a 5 for a 10, you don’t worry that you used to be with a 5. You enjoy the fact you’re with a 10. Let them be the butthurt assholes.

He keeps getting asked about it on every interview he goes on. He is just answering the questions honestly and people are saying he is taking shots at ND.

LSU is a better place than Notre Dame in almost every aspect and people that didn’t realize this until Kelly left for LSU are not handling it well.

frick Lebron for starting this. These kids can't think for themselves and love to parrot this phrase from 12 years ago.
Don't understand why it's so hard to just say "after much thought I've decided to attend _______ university"....
