The gap has to be closer than we think because they wouldn’t have wasted a redshirt if it wasn’t. Brennan wouldn’t have been thrown into the Troy game or the Bama game if he wasn’t right on Etlings heels and McMillan could’ve taken all the other snaps Brennan has had this season. I think the biggest difference is the organization and checks in the offense and with Arky and Tenn as our next two opponents i don’t see the harm in letting Brennan have a shot. We don’t have the benefit of a pre season type cupcake start for him to get the kinks out early next season so why not groom him now? Etlings whole career has been tough and adverse and i don’t think bringing him off the bench if things go bad for Brennan will rattle Etling one bit. If Brennan struggles in the next 2 games you can always go back to Etling vs ATM and the bowl game.

9-3 and a good bowl... the QB that helps that the most now is the right choice. I’m assuming that’s Etling. Let’s get Brennan some PT though.

Lol not only did go through 12 pages of a thread and still failed to prove what you said but instead of shutting your trap about it you continue to lie twist words and misquote me. Lmao “hundreds more” you couldn’t even find one example and you’re lying about hundreds. You’re the lowest most pathetic creature on the rant. Every single sentence in every single post of yours is nothing but lies and bullshite

I say go with Etling. This is his team this year, and the program needs to see some consistency and stability out of the coaches.

The attitude that this is a lost season and to go ahead and prepare Brennan for next year is the same attitude that got us beaten by arkyin the past. Still have a lot to play for- 10 win season, bigger bowl, recruiting battles, etc. Brennan will have 3-4 weeks of bowl practice and hopefully will see some game action, but this is etlings team unless Brennan can beat him out.

Why not play both. Start Etling, give Brennan a few series. Especially vs Arky and Tenn.

Some of the rant thinks DE has hit his ceiling, sucks, and in no way contributes towards LSU winning games.

Or maybe he's just limited and isn't the caliber QB we need to have to compete to overthrow Bama? I don't think he sucks and is garbage and in no way contributes

We’ve only seen Brennan when Etling stinks the joint up... Why not give him a week to take first team reps and actually have a week to insert a game plan around him

I literally copied and pasted quotes from you in the Danny Etling is better than you think thread. You understand it is impossible to misquote someone if you copy and paste their own posts correct?

So you didn't say this?
quote:

As usual the majority of the Rant are 100% wrong about Etling, what he's done this year is incredible.

Or this?
quote:

Without Etling we are a 2 win team right now.

Or this?
quote:

Etling is much more talented than Mauck and it’s not even close.

Or this?
quote:

Yea and it’s really not close. Put Etling on the 03 team and he sets every passing record at LSU

Etling shouldn't have any problem with the remaining teams on our schedule. I would like to see some specific work with Brennan working on what he's weakest at when we have the game well in hand.

Let Etling finish his last year and let's thank him that we didn't have to watch BH the 1.5 years. He has no professional prospects but I'm grateful he stepped up and worked to become what he is today. He's gotten us through some tough times sometimes with a bloody face to show for it. I'm sure he's well aware of his shortcomings. No need in crapping on him.

Yes i said those things but that’s not what you claimed i said, you lied as you always do. You said i said Etling was an incredible qb hundreds of times when i never said it once. And saying Etling is more talented than Mauck isn’t the same as saying he’s better. Jamarcus Russell is infinately more talented than almost all NFL QBs but he’s not better. Etling is a 4 Star athlete Mauck was a 2 who had to work his butt off under one of the best college QB coaches there is to become what he was, go look at his passing numbers from his Jr. year. Like i keep saying nothing you say is true all you do is twist people’s words misquote them and make shite up. Thanks for proving my point. Btw do you ever discuss football or is your entire purpose to derail threads with your petty personal bs? Change your name from the watcher to the stalker.

The next 3 games, and specifically the next 2, are against bad football teams. All 3 will have new head coaches next season. LSU should win all 3 regardless of who is playing qb.

This right here is 100% correct. The combined records of the next 3 opponents are 4-12 in SEC play and 13-14 overall.

LSU should start Etling in the next 3 games, get a comfortable lead, then bring in Brennan, Narcisse, or whoever the coaching staff thinks is the QB of the future.

Bottom line, the next 3 games should be nothing more than warm-up games for whatever bowl they receive.

O said again today that Brennan has not beaten out DE.

I hate it if that’s true. We all see the limitations (as well as the toughness) but if Brennan hadn’t beaten him out maybe we are looking at Narcisse as the starter next year.

Could just be coach speak. But....
