ESPN thinks we’re on upset alert

The lane hate is on an all time high lol. Nothing is guaranteed in football but we won at Clemson last year when they had a way more talented roster on paper.
Now we’re in severe upset alert against a team bringing in a first year starting qb, a brand new o line and suspect defensive line in the toughest environment to play in the country.

Their fans don't. A few minutes ago whe I was leaving the golf course, a Clemson guy I'd never seen before asked me to take it easy on them Saturday. A couple of other Clemson guys I play with sometimes don't think they have a chance.

Given the distractions of the last week, it is not an absurd thought

It's a pretty crappy slate of games. There are only 3 games involving a top 25 team where the point spread is less than 3 TDs (LSU v. Clemson, Ole Miss v. Louisville, FSU v. SMU). Assuming far fewer people care that unranked Michigan St. might be on upset alert against Toledo, the media has to stretch to find some sort of "upset alert" that my garner attention. They can twist this into presuming that Kiffin and the coaches have spent all week in courtrooms arguing for the eligibility of 3 back ups instead of preparing for Clemson. But somehow I doubt that is actually the case.

Everyone other big name program is playing a cupcake in week one. So LSU probably does have the best odds of anyone to get upset considering they are the only team that has a somewhat relevant opponent.
