Problem is none of those coaches would have got Simmons to even visit LSU

to be fair, Jones wouldn't have had a prayer of landing Simmons without the godfather on his staff.

Make no mistake, Ben is at LSU solely because David Patrick is there.

Ummmm, I do. This is a really weak year. I think our team talent wise is top 15. With a good coach that is about where we should be ranked

I'll start by saying Dakich is a huge douche. Now that that's out of the way, he was spitting straight truth the entire UF game. He hit on every single issue that has doomed this team throughout the year. I, for one, was glad to hear someone be so frank about it.

And on top of that you have 2 tournament caliber teams elsewhere that are ineligible for postseason play, and we're still finding a way to screw it up.

I think Jones's son banged Dakich's daughter. He absolutely hates LSU and comes off very tool-ish. It's fine to criticized because LSU deserves it, but the way he comes off is very douchey

You sound upset. Sure he's a douche. I didn't care for his comments a couple years ago re: Jeremy Hill/Miles. But he's said nothing wrong about our basketball team's situation. We are a horribly-coached team and we also don't have top-10 talent. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

I'll disagree and say the guy that put up 30 that night is a pretty talented player.

Regardless, tons of teams would love to say "yeah outside of having the best NBA prospect to come out in years, we're not that talented."

He emphatically said we dont have top 20 talent. Which is over the top

We have the #1 pick
Blakeney who is a sure fire NBA player
Tim Q who will get a look

That right there is better than most teams

then you add

Hornsby- Good shooter for the college level
Victor-good big man for the college level

Yeah, I don't really agree with that either.

We're somewhere in the middle of the rant's view of our talent and Dakich's view. Top-20 talent for sure, enough to be comfortably in the tournament at this point.

Fact is Darcy Malone and Bridgewater are our best post players off the bench. That's bad.

Overly talented? I'm not sure what decides that, but you're a fool if you don't think this team had the chance to make a good Tournament run. Our coaching is just that bad.

No.
Anyone that thinks we don't have enough talent to simply make the tournament is a fool

We are the 4 most talented team in the sec imo. I think we only have one player that would start on UK, Vandy and tamu and that's Ben. But we should be comfortably in the tourney regardless what any turd says.

Dan dakich can shove it.

100% False - everyone on this board slams Johnny for screwing up a TOP 15 roster that has 3 pros on it.

There was a whole thread devoted to how we have '3 NBA players' on it. Laughable

Blakeney MAY ONE DAY turn into an NBA talent, but right now he is just a very inconsistent very average SEC player. Hornsby is good, but most teams have a Hornsby or two on them. Same with Victor. Beyond that every player is below average SEC level players
