100% False - everyone on this board slams Johnny for screwing up a TOP 15 roster that has 3 pros on it.

I don't. I slam him for having a roster more than capable of a top 25 ranking and being a shoe-in for the tournament that struggles to a 17-12 record. I slam him for having no semblance of a halfcourt offense, our players lacking basic fundamentals like being able to pass the fricking ball into the post and playing hilariously lazy defense, not blocking out, etc.

And Patrick just appeared from the sky lol Recruiting is relationships and Johnny hired Patrick to tap the Australian basketball scene. I swear you guys refuse to give Johnny any props. Fire all LSU coaches that's all you retards want to say.

Yea it's cool sometimes we need to be reminded. Oh yea and you win games in the tournament bc of good guard play also. I know you probably don't know that also and watch much college basketball and are doing your typical LSU sports fan crying. Good guard know how to close out games and nail frees throws

I knew this would happen soon. All the hoops insiders bragged on our roster pre-season. Said it was Sweet 16 or bust for JJ this season. Now that they've watched JJ screw up the season suddenly it wasn't a good roster. Let me remind you- we've been through the JOB3, Martin and Mickey, and are on the verge of being through the Simmons era- with zero NCAA tourney wins.

Still wondering what I should be giving Jones props for.

Besides underachieving of course

Always plenty of blame to go around when you are seeking perfection. And let's face it some of the fans aren't ever satisfied unless we go undefeated AND blow everyone out of the gym.

Pre-season we were picked to finish third or fourth in the conference. Where does it look like we will finish? Third or fourth in the conference. Did I want us to do better, especially in the non-conference games? You bet! Did I want us to go to the tournament? Sure.

But actually we have done about as well as expected. The surprising thing to me about this season has been the guard play. That should have been our strength coming in with three veterans and two hotshot freshmen. For some reason our shooters have not performed as expected in some games.

With Simmons being a much less talented shooter than I thought before I actually saw him play, this has really hurt us. And on the other side of the coin other team's guards have gone off on us with regularity, hitting way above their usual percentage of threes.

Is that bad defense, poor coaching or just some players overachieving against us? I think a little of all three. The same question could be asked about the dribble penetration we have given up time and again. This has been full court and half court. I think that has been a lack of effort on individual players not CJJ's coaching.

perfection

Where do you people even get this stuff from? No one has sought perfection. But people have complained about the same deficiencies we've seen every year under Jones. Most people just want to have something- anything to cheer for in the dance again. When's the last time LSU has won a game there? It's likely not to happen anytime soon. JJ just lost his recruiting edge now. "Come play for us and help us build something." What?! You had the #1 draft pick this season and 2 drafted players the year before and couldn't "build" anything.

It was well deserved too. They almost blew that game

I'm not saying that it wasn't deserved. Just pointing that he spent all game blasting the coaching and then writes an article saying LSU is not very talented. Which is it?

You realize it is not the Top 64 teams, or 68 correct?
