I actually agree with them on the write up
I don’t on the letter grade. You don’t dock points for what could potentially go wrong. They said it themselves: he’s an elite coach, and LSU needed an elite coach.
To me that should put us at an A with Riley to USC, simple as that.

"Fit" isn't a concern for a coach with a proven track record like Kelly's. His comments at the press conference today should've demonstrated that.

there are a lot more factors to consider than just P5 wins. One big factor is age. Kelly is 60 while Napier is in early 40's. Napier has a lot of experience at top tier P5 programs but just not as HC. Napier is a good fit for an SEC program and seems to have the "it" factor. But B+ for Kelly is still a very good score. I know most people would be happy as shite to get a B+ for job performance.

I like Kelly, but I do see what they mean about fit. The culture in south Louisiana is like a different country than where he’s from . That shouldn’t matter but we will see by how many players transfer or decommit.
What I do find kind of interesting is the boards opinion of Kelly. This board was averaging about 10 upvotes to 20 downvotes on Brian Kelly posts before he was hired , now it’s 100% nearly, not sure what he did in those 3 or 4 hours to change everyone’s mind. Some people didn’t want him and 30 minutes later when he was hired, said they loved the hire.
There are actually posters in this very thread who replied with “hard pass” on a thread that was essentially asking if we would be happy with Brian Kelly, now they are calling people idiots for having an opinion that was more pro kell than their own opinion 15 minutes before the announcement.
This should be studied in a psychology or maybe sociology class

For me it’s an a hire though, I have a couple friends that were losing it and melting over it . They cited his record against top ten teams. I believe Kelly is being criticized for losing to the greatest coach of all time with a roster that has half the 4 stars of bama and a fifth of the 5 stars . The horror!!’

Exactly. If LSU would have hired Napier, I doubt they would have rated the hiring higher than a "C" and they would have given Floridan an "A" for hiring Kelly. The negative press for LSU is really getting tiresome.
