Didn’t he rush for 2 TD’s in that 3 game stretch?

MSU Game
Burrow was off. Lots of bad passes, but it was wet

UF Game
Great DL manhandled our OL and he was under constant pressure. Lots of dropped passes.

Sure Joe will need to improve, but for his numbers to improve, the OL must do their job and open up holes for the run game and pocket protection and the also the WR's need to stop all the drops. This isn't all on Joe, which I think most of us know.

The guy knows what to do at the line, he is smart, and he is very accurate on the intermediate routes.

Bama Game
They will get their points with Tua in the game. However, their defense isn't the greatest like in years past and can be scored on.

I think the run game has to be clicking.....burn the clock, stop the 3rd and longs, and WR's catch the ball.

I get it, but that's football. A qb has to have better than mid 50's %, regardless.

Drops haven't helped, but there have been way too many flat out unwatchable balls

That % goes up considerably if they stop throwing it at Derrick Dillon

Yeah, but Taylor Hansen has been lighting up ACC defenses at Clemson....

JK. I agree with you OP.

The fact they used "no TD passes against Mississippi State is concerning" is laughable considering they have arguably a better defense than Alabama's

Ms Stat’s defense is grossly inferior to Bama’s. Their front four might be better, but their back seven is not in the same stratosphere.

ESPN's article is good news for us.

We want people to think Burrow is an "underwhelming" QB. Our opponents will underestimate us and Burrow's prospect rating will keep him at LSU the full 2 years.

Just keep winning.

The rankings of the defenses that Bama played

Texas A&M #29
Tennessee #89
Arkansas State #91
Mizzou #91
Arkansas #101
Louisville #104
Ole Miss #109
ULL #113

Makes sense why every highlight I've seen of Tua has the wide receiver wide open.

Not in passing yards allowed, Bama is 33rd.

How many of those yards and touchdowns are in the second half when the reserves are playing because the game is out of hand?

People that are using stats to judge bamas defense are going to be gravely mistaken

As always it's still one of the best defenses in the country if not the best regardless of stats

Teams have been putting up stats on them late in the game when the score is long out of hand

If Jeaux was accurate Rantards woul be posting about it, instead of making excuses.
Jeaux misses open targets regularly, mostly overthrows, even vs lesser defenses. Maybe over-cautious due to staff, idk?
He's just slightly better than Etling due to ground game, PSRs and escaping trouble.

you have to admit that his stats against UF, UGA, and MSST are really bad

I believe he was SEC offensive player of the week for UGA - that's really bad!

From the same article came this ridiculous paragraph:
“But Burrow's underwhelming 16-of-28, 129-yard, one-interception performance against Mississippi State has created enough nagging doubt about what kind of threat LSU actually poses to the nation's best teams -- let alone Alabama.”

What kind of threat to the nation’s BEST teams? Are you smoking crack, ESPN? He’s done nothing but successfully lead our team against the nation’s best defenses. Not perfectly, but he’s gotten it done.

You got me curious so I looked at play by play. Hopefully I added right

Louisville 114 of 252 yards in the first half
Ark State 97 of 218 yards in the first half
Ole Miss 127 of 133 yards in the first half
aTm 55 of 263 yards in the first half
ULLaf 28 of 88 yards in the first half
Arky 173 of 233 yards in the first half
Mizzoo 108 of 142 yards in the first half
Tenn 182 of 327 yards in the first half

884 out of 1656 yards in the first half.

But Alabama's garbage time may start mid 2nd quarter.
