It truly is unreal how stubborn and stuck Les Miles was. The rant has been right for years and it's all coming out in the light.

Who care for deep passing as long as we move the sticks.

I'd still kind of like to see Harris get a look with different play calling and coaches who try to plan around what he can and can't do. I think that ship has sailed at least for this year but Brandon is definitely a talented guy. I hate to see his talents wasted because of shitty coaching.

I hope he sticks around and next off season we get a true competition between Etling and Harris under a new coaches offense and let's see who runs it the best.

I pretty much expect to see Harris play against Alabama in a special package of plays. We'll see.

I love stories like the OP and yet the fact they are stories at all just keeps reiterating how fricking incompetent Miles was.

Oh well. At least that's history

Etling is the QB. Harris problems weren't play calling. Get behind our QB.

U have to make the safeties respect the deep ball.

All this tells me is we're not passing deep! [/quote]

Unless there is certain packages for what Harris actually does well........An actual read option called right and the deep ball would be a nice package

anyone get the sense that Cam was one of those guys that grabbed his stapler off the desk and tupperware from the fridge and hauled arse?

cam Cameron was the worst OC LSU has ever had. he fricked the offense up; made them tight and over analyzed everything. Miles watched it happen and frankly, for a 5 million dollar man, acted like a dumb arse by not firing him.

Ellington still needs to take shots down field to keep the defense from moving up.

Bobby Hebert, who knows just a little bit about football, today on the radio stated that even if the deep pass is not completed, it still serves the purpose of keeping the safeties back and respecting the deep threat...and he also referenced a successful pro head coach who also is known for this philosophy...and it appears to most that this a "no- brainer"...so when DE completes passes like the long one to Chark in the AU game, the message is surely sent to DBs and DCs...

Cam was a Miles puppet. We saw the same problems starting in 2008, and would have seen more of the same if Alleva had forced Miles to fire Cam instead of firing Miles.

When Coach O took over, all that stopped and we have competent coaching on offense again. Was very disappointed in UF dodging us, I really wanted to see what we could vs them.

You mean tailoring the gameplan around the personnel instead of vice versa?? Eureka! We have common sense!

You mean you're not supposed to continuously pound a square peg in to round hole and hope it works?
