50 OCs don't play in the SEC.

Even after the 7ots Ensmingers offense was dead last in the sec in passing TDs. 3/14 in rush tds. 12/14 in rush yards/attempt. 10/14 in pass yards/attempt.

What about those stats makes it seem like E did any better than his predecessors or competition at OC?

Not something I would disclose being an OC. Just my .02. No one is paying me to coach tho.

Time for a new offensive coach.

He’s also coaching Purdue.

More coaches do better with what they have than ensminger did with whatbhe had.

Even if you think we aren’t very talented, he got nothing out of this offense.

Everyone here would kill to be rated 24th in total O just like Purdue was and you know it.

And I'm not bragging on the SE O, but I certainly can understand what he meant when he said we had groups of players not picking up audibles because we had so many new starters on O.

No I’ve said everyone else’s OCs are better

Ours sucks dick.

For instance, we scored 22 against Auburn, and Purdue, a team from Indiana, scored 14.

That’s what’s with our offense being given the ball inside the 25.

Now Ben tell me.

Are we that close to Purdue level talent?

8 point difference?

Well we did improve in passing yardage and points scored over last year's team even though we lost our QB our two TBs and our best WRs.

Yeah...

In regulation, we score like less than 1 point more a game and that’s more or less because we can kick field goals.

Also Burrow >>>>>> Etling.

This thread says so much about what the fanbase has become.

Previous regime would be lit on fire for something like this.

Unreal. Sad state of affairs.

It’s really only fair to judge a coaching staff 10 years in when they’ve really had time to transform the program.

No clue what that post is supposed to say

It means the players didn’t know the play book well enough. Some are very young and not used to this level of play. Others were in their 3rd offense in as many years. They need more tune in the system for it to come naturally.

Well that's to get the audible game installed apparently.

Nothing to see here. All is well.

We beat Ga. worse than Bama did so we should beat Bama right?

Purdue beat Ohio State 49-20. Auburn beat Purdue 63-14. We beat Auburn 22-21. Using your "formula" we'd beat Ohio State by 79 points!!!

You don't make a lot of sense.

just asking, but does this transitive measure of scoring translate across every single game that intertwines?

Didn’t Aranda say it would take time for players to learn his system? It’s read and react and I can remember fans saying Wisconsin had smarter players...so the offense should be learned in months or it’s the coaches fault?

with 7 over times you mean?

At best Ensminger is producing the same offense we have had over the past 10 years. This is what you want out of the offense...more of the same?

He's a better runner, but his passing stats didn't start out so hot.
He finished strong and with a year under his belt he should do even better next season.

Drop the OTs and it's still better with less talent.

And of course I want better, but unlike many here I can see the OC is part of the problem and not the problem.

Even at the college level, plays and schemes have to be kept simple. Remember that some of these guys aren't the brightest bulbs and will go on to hilariously bad Wonderlic scores at the combine.
