He’s such a great ambassador for Tiger Nation. He, Like Ogeron are two of the most selfless coaches in the industry. Just legitimately great guys who love the program.

Ensminger doesn't really need the money anymore. If I was him, I would like to move to some BS made-up position, like Player's Enjoyment Coordinator, for $60k per year.

It would cut down on his time requirement, but still allow him every day access to the program he loves. Think about being able to walk in and chat football with O anytime, going to practice and watching, and being able to go anywhere you want, without the heavy responsibility.

We are so blessed to have Ensminger.

I actually believe he has gotten better.

He did not perform well in 2018 relative to our goals against our best opponents. He had not previously shown a penchant to want to do anything other than what he had done before, which yielded consistent results that did not meet expectations.

To state that his offense made no changes from what was run under Les Miles shows how little you actually know of offensive systems and the differences there in.

He happened to set offensive records himself as the OC if you will pay attention. He made many changes his first go around as OC and it showed quite well.

When he stepped back in for the second time he did not have the personnel to achieve what he did before because his linemen were young and couldn't protect Joe without going max protect. This limited his choices in play availability and you saw what you thought was "the same old plays" however the only similarity to Les was formation. That's all the average fan pays attention to because once the ball is snapped you focus on that.

The best thing that happened to LSU was Ed and Ensminger seeing that when they spread the field and used some fundamental spread concepts that the line was much more able to protect Joe and his completion percentage skyrocketed over the last two games of 18.

That reinforced what they had already begun to do and prompted the hire of someone with more knowledge of spread concepts.

Ensminger has always been an elite playcaller, his only shortcoming was in play design for spread offenses. Brady was the final piece that when paired with someone with Ensminger's experience running a college offense as a whole was magic.

They all played a great part in this and Ensminger deserves way more credit for its implementation than anyone gives him. They didn't just draw up some crap on a whiteboard at OT vs Texas A&M and go for it. They had obviously already been working on it beforehand.

Why?

What have you ever done to qualify you to judge coaches?

We would lose one of the best QB coaches in the country if this happened.

I love when people just throw this out there like it’s a fact. Do you know him personally? Are you his CPA?

I've loved coach E from the get go and told anyone who would listen that he works his arse off to get better at his craft. People don't understand that coaches can get better. The ones that do get better are the ones who LOVE what they do. Steve loves what he does and bleeds purple and gold.

Rah Rah for Minger ...

Pay him another year or two before making Brady the OC that Brady deserves soon ...

Or Cry when Brady bolts for a Big 5 OC Job

Minger don’t care if he gets a demotion as he’s a STATE EMPLOYEE at RETIREMENT AGE ... It’s all frosting on the cake for Minger who is TELLING THE TRUTH LETTING ALL KNOW ITS NEAR THE END FOR HIM with these young Assts around ... If you can read between the lines

FACT: Minger has been getting a year’s plus free education on SEAN PEYTON SCHOOL OF OFFENSE from an Asst Coach who has only opened about 1/3 of the Saints playbook

An OUT OF THIS WORLD opportunity now awaits the LSU coaching staff for 2020/2021 with that patient super-smart super strong armed QB Myles Brennan in the wings ...

Saints O when properly run is unstoppable...
Saints O with a QB with an arm like Brennan is downright scary with a great increase in 30+ yard long TDs ... Mark it

I think he will stay OC another year. Joe Brady is still learning a lot from him.

+1. You think of anyone better post it. Otherwise STFU! Big "E" is the BOMB! Just look at results. Great player and proving to be a respectable coach at the highest level in collegiate sports.

Coach E is the definition of a True Tiger.

He is more of a LSU Tiger than any of us

It’s Christmas so I’m going to be charitable and assume you need to re read what I said as opposed to purposefully constructing a straw man out of what I said to argue against.

The former is a simple reading comprehension deficiency and that’s not your fault. You may have been in a hurry or just skimming. The latter is low rent and designed to let you white knight over something you knowingly understand I didn’t say.

But to go on the record, your entire post is meaningless after the first sentence. Which is to say that since you based everything that came after that on an incorrect assumption based on something I didn’t say at any point, there’s literally no point in anyone reading past that.

The post never compared Ensminger with what came before him. It compared Ensminger to Ensminger. In other words...you’re insulting me for being ignorant while ignorantly asserting I said something I didn’t say. Hypocrisy, thy name is...what is your name again? Pitbull...yeah.

Now that we’ve cleared up that you either can’t read, don’t skim efficiently enough to lean on that in discussions here, or are willing to misconstrue what people say in order to white knight when you have no need to...do you have an actual point to make about anything I actually said now that I’ve pointed out you made an entire post in response to me that didn’t actually address anything that I actually said?

Or are we done here? :-)

I mean I commend ensminger on his stance. But come on dude. He's old as cheese. Guy has been around the game a long time. You cant compare him to a younger coach who has big aspirations. Of course he is willing to walk away from the game when the time comes. He's made his money and accomplished his goals
