Didn’t they say they were working goal line though? I know he broke a longer one, but otherwise his avg (as reported) per carry were modest.

Curry transfer portal

Magee
Ridley
Brossette

thank God those guys didn't transfer because we sure as hell utilized all those RBs in their last year. Even if Curry isnt shining It is good to have that depth at RB

I dont understand why/how people get pumped up behind comments like these. Chris Curry is a beast. Why would you want him to transfer, or if you don't want him to, why would you assume he would be the type to jump ship? Curry is a model Tiger and isn't going anywhere. This is just a silly, ignorant comment.

Silly comment, but actually not an unrealistic thought. What I don’t think you realize is that the coaches could give him plenty action (instead of Lanard) in games where we’ve gone up a few scores.
That kind of action helps you gain confidence, keeps you focused and helps you realize you are a play (injury) away from being needed in the first quarter.

It was quite literally one year and we had a 1,000 yard back.

That just shows you how good our RB’s have been for a really long time.

Looking forward to it. Brosette and CEH were adequate last year. They pretty much did the basic job of running backs without much else. Not many home run plays. Just..fine. but not at the elite level we'd gotten used to. Emery could be that home run hitter.

6 yards per carry is pretty damn good to me, and like you said, they ran some goal line stuff which will lower your ypc.

This is true, but to win big you need a superstar every year. Brossette had the worst per carry average of any starting RB in the SEC last year. He had the 2nd worst per carry average of any SEC RB with at least 100 carries.

We've had super stars since Jeremey Hill. Prior to that it was either committee, Charles Scott in 2008, or giving it to a guy a bunch of times while he averaged under 5 yards a carry.
