Heard might’ve gotten some reps with 1st team today, but our starting 5 are clearly Campbell, Turner, Frazier, Dellinger, & Jones.

I don’t think it’s clear at all. Heard giving them a lot to think about and if not immediately I’d expect him in the starting lineup by the end of the year. They might not want to throw him in the deep end vs FSU

Thanks captain obvious

His comments may be obvious, but based on some of the other comments in the thread, it wasn’t necessarily obvious to everyone. One easily could have read into this that Heard had taken over as the starter at RT and Jones was now going to be primarily RG. Someone needed to make it clear that this was mostly experimenting with different looks and different personnel. No one was criticizing you personally.

They won’t throw him in vs fl st without injury. Which is wise. Remember even will cambell struggled some in week 1 last year

That was against Jared verse though so you can’t blame a freshman for having trouble with him

Thank you. That’s all I was saying. Hell even Twitter was making it seem like heard would start week 1

Frazier is projected to be an NFL draft pick. He’s not some bum.

Would it kill you to be a decent person in at least one thread in this decade?

If Heard does make Emery slide over to guard and start at tackle, LSU may just end up having the best offensive line of all time.

You can think whatever you want. All I’m saying is we already have our starting 5 for the first game against FSU.

Will Heard play in that game? Maybe. Will he start games for us later in the season? Maybe

Still some time before the FSU game to open the season.

Heard will definitely be a factor--still not sure yet whether he will start, but I would not be surprised.

It's impressive to see the team building this kind of depth on the offensive line.

I think I’d put Chester at C and then you have the most athletic line that can grow.

I love Martinez ability to play all 3 inside spots and he’s more than capable of being this team’s starting center but the difference that separates him and Charles Turner is the communication aspect. Turner is much more experienced making the calls on the line and being that vocal leader that is so crucial at the center position. Martinez is no doubt the bigger, stronger player but Turner is and should be starting. That being said, Martinez will see a lot of playing time this year. He and Heard will be the first 2 guys off the bench in case of injury. DJ Chester is the team’s future starting center and he will spend this season getting accustomed to the position but he will have one hell of a fight on his hands when Joseph Cryer steps on campus.

Lester has almost 274,000 posts. No need to ask him if he's a bitch in real life. He HAS no real life

It's actually sad.

I’ll take experience on the o-line against fsu, heard should get a ton of time the first half of the season. However no need to move jones anytime soon.
