My son lives in Jacksonville I was plannimg to drive over there tomorrow and we were going to Gainesville for the game. My son called this morning and said evacuation of Jacksonville being discussed now. The hotel where he works has cancelled all meeting and events Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I can not believe this game is going to be played anywhere in the State of Florida this weekend.

My Dad, who lives in Jax, just told me the mayor has declared a state of emergency and they are evacuating the Jacksonville Beaches.

It has to be an NFL or college facility. You cannot up and get the needed people and resources out of the blue in time at a facility that has one game a year.

There is a game scheduled for 3:30. They are discussing moving that game to noon and playing UGA v. USCe there at 8:00.

On an unrelated and immature note: I just realized the W. Kent Fuchs administration and F. King Alexander administration are meeting.

Fuchs and F. King

There is nothing neutral about Birmingham when it comes to the SEC

Not sure if posted in here yet but I saw Hanny say on Twitter last night that the absolute deadline for change of venue is 3:00 PM today

Bye weeks do not match.

They do both have a non-conference game in common (could cancel those and play "this" game then).

I would imagine it simply moves to BR

That would be a tough sell because of the amount of money lost from those home games. Even though it's Presbyterian (really Florida) and South Alabama for LSU. Those other schools probably don't want it cancelled either because of their huge paycheck they would get unless LSU and Florida just give it to them anyway.

Georgia Tech is away this weekend it would make sense if they play there.

Not gonna happen. Neither wants to be a game short for the season either like lsu was last year. Schedule already hard enough down the stretch without throwing Florida into it also

Whatever stadium it mite be moved to, a big issue LSU ran into last yr was finding enough support people to make TS ready to host fans, from concessions to First Aide works. An obvious extra issue anywhere in Fla. would be the availability of any law enforcement officers. If the State is evacuating cities like Jacksonville, that one city alone takes a ton of law enforcement involvement. That is what the governor of S.Carolina is saying: "we don't have one law enforcement officer to spare, let alone for a football game."
