I just don't see how LSU can justify sending their team knowing that a major hurricane is just off the coast and Gainesville is still in cone of uncertainty.

yup that's looking like an atrocious call.

Haven't paid a ton of attention the past 18 or so hours, but it looks like it's gone from moving 9 to 10mph, but at the same time the projection doesn't have it further out, and quite the opposite by Fri and Sat at 2am?

Why wouldn't they? Louisiana is definitely sympathetic to victims of hurricanes.

That confuses me, too. I mean, if it moves and I travel out to BR for the game, I have no idea WHAT I might be returning to when I go home. Geez...

They can't. Especially in this litigious age.

I don't mean we're going to boo them or whatever. I just don't think they'll get the same cheers, fight song being played, etc, that USCe got.

Where is Machine to tell us that Gainesville isn't under the eye so there's no issues?

He's already posted in one of these threads that he couldn't have been more wrong.

On a side note. That model looping back to the coast of Florida a week from now is especially fricked up. Let's really hope that doesn't happen.

1 page ago, I think he's observed the error in his posts from yesterday.

Such as it is with anyone who evacuates from the path of a hurricane, is it not?

I'm going to be real pissed if they keep it in Gainesville. I was supposed to go to Florida for a bachelor party this weekend and go to the game. Last night the decision was made to move it, so all the flights have been changed to somewhere else.
