This was the call that made me turn my TV off. I mean who the frick pays coordinators millions to make this dumbass decision. These guys are the biggest con artists out there to sit there show a QB sneak, then run straight into the teeth of the defense with the RB. Absolute stupidity. That's aligned with throwing a flea flicker with your back to the end zone.

With TJ but that Max sneak on 1st down at the 2 was an awful play call and wasted down

I must've missed it, but yeah, every time with Finley it worked time after time.

There was only one time the sneak didn’t work out of probably about 5 times and it was with Max

File in the folder with:

“Wish I could have had that first (play) back. I wanted Darrel to get the ball," Orgeron said. "Our third-string back got the ball. Should have done a better job of game-planning. I was not aware we were going to do that. I think that’s not the way we ought to start the game."

“I was disappointed with the offensive game plan.” (After A&M last week)

Max actually had a sneak or two that worked. It was the down and distance that they called it on that was atrocious

I mean he has a headset and he is on the ground. No reason he couldn’t have said hey E let’s sneak it. That is chicken shite.

I understand O letting his coaches do their job but the buck has to stop somewhere at some point and the HC needs to step in and make some big decisions at times.

Ensminger is hard-headed and goes to his default play that he wants to succeed in certain situations (not what has proven to succeed). He does it all the time and he has in the past run right up the gut with that same pathetic play in hurry-up on consecutive plays thinking that it will eventually work. Almost everyone on this board was screaming QB sneak, but Ensminger, the guy who is paid well to call plays for a living did not see what was so extremely obvious. He (along with Linehan) killed a great drive by the players.

Not even Lester Earl can defend this buffoonery.

Quickly overriding the play called down before it's relayed to the field seems something easy O can get better at but the bigger issue is when our incompetent head coach regarding offense is thinking the same play call as we all are and our OC doesn't have the ability to know the sneak is the higher percentage play in that situation against that defense. E and Linehan are done done.

"We should have"

He does this after every game. Over and over and over and over. Isn't he the head coach? Can't he tell the other coaches what he wants to do? It's gotten really old.

LSU on 4th and short, you know we're gonna run it right up the gut every time. It's madness

God forbid we bounce it outside when 11 guys are bunched together.

Okay Mr "Put It On Me", why didn't you tell the OC what you wanted?

I did not like the call, but neither do I like a QB sneak - not after we have become predictable. We have shown that tendency and Bama was surely gambling on the seneak.

You have a 6’5 250lb QB who could take the snap and fall forward for a yard.

This is such ignorant BS. The QB can only “fall forward” if there is room. Almost every QB in college is within 4 inches of Finley’s height. If this was true every coach would go for fourth and less than a yard every time and just “fall forward” for the first. The odds are that if we snuck it Bama would have stoned our oline, and there would have been no room to “fall forward”.

Qb sneaks on 4th and inches work like 95% of the time, even when the defense know they are coming. It was also the 1st quarter and our first drive, we werent predictable at that point

It has worked the entire year, and some the best qbs of all time (brady/brees) run it multiple times a game in the most wide open, offense obsessed nfl ever.

I hate that we didn't bring in Finley after max got stuffed on 2nd and goal, and run it 2 more times. We suck and we aren't fluid with freshman and a bad line, so simplify the game and run a play you can't mess up, and that works 95% time we run it. Get it to 55-24, doesn't matter if it takes some beautiful drawn up player, or you go hat on hate and use the big sum bi**h and get 1 yd twice for a td. Tort Carter at rb, shoving the Finley, should be our 3rd or 4th and 1 rest of the year. We cannot get 1 yard on a dive when they know its a dive. Period
