I like most of the hires and all the players that have bought in to what we’re doing and are coming back for another year. This could be another special
Something kinda came to me yesterday. I know the hires didnt seem to be grand slams to most and I'd agree on the dc. However the oc and dl coaching hires were. The rest were home runs just not grand slam homeruns lol.
Anyway ,I was thinking about how hungry these guys we hired must be to prove themselves as coordinators. Both have plenty of experience and are qualified, I'm thinking both were gonna be coordinators soon. Peetz was gonna be joe bradys coordinator ,I'm pretty sure, but he didnt get the job.
Listen to the otb interview with Tommy moffit. He said daronte jones is so fired up that he wanted to do the drills himself first so he knew what the players needed to be doing and even where they needed to stand on the field waiting for there turn to do the drill during football school. Now he's doing the same for the 4th quarter program.
Peetz seems to come across as a guy with the matt canada type energy but with the ensminger care for the players .
These guys seem to be so excited to be here that there about to freaking explode waiting for spring practice and to actually get a ball on the field . In the meantime they are all over the football school ins and outs ,plus the 4th quarter conditioning stuff.
Then you got Carter doing drills with the guys and constantly showing technique and how the drills work to help make that technique into muscle memory.
I suggest going to you tube and searching off the bench lsu. All of the interviews with the new coaches are there and broken down into separate titled videos. If you get time to listen to some the ones with moffit, coach o ,andre Carter ,and daronte jones are all of the ones you need to hear.
I got the feeling that we may have hit the jackpot with these hires

Ok. I think he’s been the most transparent HC in my lifetime. Now, his assessments aren’t always right, but I believe he believes what he’s saying. But you believe what you want.

Do we have a goddamn game today? No? Then shut the frick up. A huge part of his job description is answering questions from the media. He quite literally is not allowed to “be quiet.”

Didn't Bama have a 4th qtr program like a decade ago?
Probably. LSU’s had one longer than that, though.

Sounds like another 0 gimmick
What the frick is this even supposed to mean? A gimmick? Are you really so stupid you think this based solely on the name of it? Because the concept has been around for centuries. And Moffitt is in charge of it anyway. It seems the biggest thing O did to alter it was desegregate the position groups and have the whole team compete together. Seems like that competition would not only bring out the best in everyone, but help build camaraderie amongst the whole team. But please, articulate how it sounds like “another O gimmick.”

Fine. And that’s valid. But what the frick are you even doing here? You seem to be another “don’t tell me, show me” kind of fan—which is fine. But it’s February 23rd and we don’t play till September, so he literally can’t show you for another 5 months. So why the frick are you bothering with coming here unless it’s just to be a miserable cocksucker? I honestly don’t get your ilk.

Breaking news out of baton rouge. lsu head coach Edward bebe orgeron, founding member of the Rozy finch boyz, will no longer be available for press conferences until he shows internet user wryder1 what he needs to see.

If you don’t subscribe to the positiger mentality 24/7 then you will be ridiculed by the mob on here. Last season gave us enough reasons to be pessimistic about any pre season hype O delivers.

coachspeak.
All that matters in 2021 is production on the field on 12 Saturdays in the fall.

I agree but the fact that we're talking about spring football is a reason to get excited

Something happening once doesn’t indicate a trend being present.

You're right. I don't think 2020 was a trend.

agreed. His Coach speak ranks right up there with Les IMO.

Where was this attention to detail last year Coach?

But I get what he is saying.

Yeah, it’s amazing how « attention to detail » is NOW a priority! What O sez is meaningless!
He talks out if his anal orifuce, more than not, and he did fool some folks, but not ALL!!
He better pay attention or else!!!!

I'm inclined to believe Ed O on this one. These new coaches are all young guys looking to make a big impact. They know their future opportunities and career moves could very well hinge on how well they do here.
That's the good thing about young motivated coaches looking to make their mark on things. If we fail it wont be due to lack of motivation on these coaches part. We need to see what the team looks like when it hits the field, but I think its a pretty safe bet we will see much more overall team effort from everybody than we saw at numerous times last year. We don't know what the results will look like yet, but if guys on the team get more motivated again, because they are actually enjoying playing ball, the results will begin to show it. I believe this team is headed in the right direction, and we have a whole lot of talent just waiting to blow up here.

Last page of the binder? Some of our fans quickly forget how quickly coach O has changed our program. We have an actual offense that throws the ball efficiently now, our defense was bad last year, but I trust o that it was due to pellini. I have the upmost confidence in coach O turning this team around having us where we should be. Geaux Tigers
