How did they think he was a sure thing? He was definitely trending in the wrong direction in recent weeks.

It should've never come down to the choice of either Goodrich or Surtain. Both should've been takes. Orgeron miscalculated by signing some lesser players during the early signing period, in addition to thinking he had any shot at Foster vs Jimbo.
