Perhaps I have been following for years but never posted.

So you didn't feel it was necessary to scold the critics when Les was still here?

Or are you only a glass half full guy when the head coach is "one of us"?

No...if that's what I was saying, I'd have written "you're" because I'm not an imbecile.

Has nothing to do with post count or positivity and everything to do with transparent levels of pure propaganda being pushed by obviously new posters who happened to find the internet last fall.

Again...no one is fooled by this horse shite here.

It's way deeper than that. Interim O coaches like he has nothing to lose. He's aggressive but not reckless.

Permanent Coach O makes decisions (both on the field and off) from a place of fear.

____________

Valid point. "O" is reactionary. His lowest moment was when he through his own coach and player under the bus after the Troy game. That was infuriating. He has since then learned to think before he opens his mouth. sometimes less is more. In ways he reminds me of Trump he should think before he talks. He has weaknesses. We all do. But he has real strengths too. He realizes what he is. A good motivator. A good recruiter. Potentially a decent GM style head coach. He is not the best coordinator on either side of the ball. But he does realize where we were late in the season. Had we not lost to Troy we would have been right there with Auburn ranked 6 or 7 with losses to Mississippi State and Alabama only.

If that were true he would not have hired SE and promoted Sullivan.

Maybe Canada really was just that big a jackass. Fine. Things happen. But go out and find a forward thinking OC and empower them to fix this offense. The game has changed, you need fresh ideas. Look at what Saban has done, adapted to the modern game. Sullivan and Steve are a combined 137 years old.

It’s more to the point that Orgeron lied to admistration and to the fans when he said he was going to get the best coordinators in the country to come to LSU and that’s why he being the head coach was going to work. Steve Ensminger is a great man and a great Tiger, but no one in their right mind would consider him one of the best offensive coordinators in the country. Hell, he told them he didn’t even want the fricking job when they offered it to him! I would love to be wrong and have Orgeron and Ensminger make me eat my words, I really would, but hiring a guy who hasn’t been a full time playcaller since Bill Clinton was in office doesn’t seem like the way to “modernize” LSU’s offense.

Everything I have read points to Ensminger being promoted. Everything I have read also says its not a done deal. Please bring someone with more appeal to the team. Regardless of Ensminger's ability to do the job or not it's not the best thing to do for the team.

Sometimes its tough to do the best thing for the team. Those decisions come with great scrutiny. Saban replaced Jalen with a true freshmen with very little college football experience last night. Most people said what the HELL is he doing. Some people thought Saban a fool.

I hope they get a Briles or someone like that offensive coordinator. I will hang on to hope until I can't. If its Ensminger I'll hope most fans wrong. He did a pretty good job last year. The offensive improved a bunch under his watch.

People that have paid attention this year saw that coming. Nobody thought Saban was foolish for making the switch.

__________

It didn't surprise you or me but it surprised alot of folks. I had a buddy with a large bet. At halftime he called and asked if he should hedge. I immediately told him "you can't lose unless Saban puts in the Hawaiian" Luckily for him they don't kick PAT's in overtime when scored that way. He got 3.5. Winner Winner. Georgia shut down the offense in the second half. they had Bama

Agree the perception of this Ensminger at the new OC is not good. Hiring Ensminger just isn't sexy at all.

We were pretty close to a 10 win season with some obvious severe deficiencies.

Severe? Let's be honest here. Lack of depth on both lines is a problem but not a severe deficiency. And even if it was it does not equate to losing to Troy or by 30 to Mississippi State. Stop bringing down the talent level of this team to make excuses for O when he screws up.

He has not learned to think before he opens his mouth. He's the whole reason for the rumors being thrown around about Canada leaving and being let go after the bowl game. He point blank said he was going to highly consider Ensminger for the Job after the A&M game. That's having a big mouth and not handling it internally. C'mon dude

I am willing to bet you $10,000 hard cash and I will sign a contract proving my liability to you if LSU wins the SEC West. I live in the 70809 zip. Want to make a deal?

Jaydeaux......You're from Mandeville? Did you ever see MHS play under Lecompte with the Orgeron kids? (I'm from Mandeville and played football at MHS, {Not under Lecompte} for 3 years before we moved to Florida my Senior year)

Lecompte had all those spoiled rotten Mandeville kids playing pretty good football. They put up a lot of points every season on Offense. Don't know if what he knows about Offense in high school will translate to major college football or if he's just an Orgeron BBQ Buddy that needs a job.
