Les Miles making all the punters wear the same number was awesome
How many championships did it win the last five years?
That's the kind of stupid stuff you focus on when you've lost your way.

Sounds like you need a Snickers

Pretty sure Hunt was #8 and Henderson #9.

There are only 99 possible numbers and we have more than 100 players. What do you suggest?
Don't let the duplicates dress out? You aren't playing 100 players in a game. Wasn't Rudy part of the team at Notre Dame but only got to dress out one game? Do it like that.

Pretty sure Henderson and hunt wore different numbers....

It was easy to tell which #1 was Joseph and which #1 was Chase. Joesph had like 10 armbands on

You only have numbers 1-99. You have more than 100 players. Kind of unavoidable.
Would be cool if walkons had to wear numbers between 100-199. It's time sports abandoned this archaic view of jersey numbers having to be 99 or lower.

That would look stupid. Also, the numbers are position specific. It’s not as strict in college, but it’s there.

The perplexing thing was JH was a white boy on defense and DH was a black dude on offense.
that and Jack Hunt wore a different number than Devery

Worst Trend in College Football
Really?
Not declining attendance rates, recruiting "handlers," sexual abuse, CTE, runaway conference expansion, the salary arms race, the consolidation of P5 power, or the corporatization of athletic departments and conferences.
Duplicate numbers. That's the biggest problem in college football today?
Posted on 9/3/18 at 3:41 pm to Kcrad
Yeah except for knocking the punt into the ez he was nails on defense.

LSU has never had this many duplicates. It's all about the guys wanting to wear the single digits, and to a lesser extent the teens. Sometimes coaches promise them a number to get them to sign.
It does create an actual problem though. Guys who might be natural choices for special teams can't be on the field at the same time, so someone has to sit. Alexander and Anderson come to mind. Phillips and Marshall. Etc.

Obviously I disagree.

I'm well aware of that. No reason the sale rules can't be applied with a "1" preceding the number.
