Every year you idiots says this, because every year LSU loses games like this.
Every year. Think about that.

Dude, the idiots on this board will bring up this loss a lot in the next couple of years…
80% of this board is not built for baseball and have zero clue about anything baseball related

Its not the loss that even bothers me as much as how much of the loss was do to things we haven't done well all year and continue to not improve on. Our pitching as a collective group has been really average to below average in most of our games. It will definitely improve but I didn't think the struggles would be this widespread.

Question:
What other college baseball games have you watched this season that didn’t include LSU?

LSU has lost a midweek game to an instate opponent in every national championship season since 2000. Please stop giving uninformed opinions.

Last night reminded me a little of both of those. From both a head up our arse standpoint, and some weird luck.

I know. And it is aggravating to have to sort through all the dumb shite to find actual legit baseball talk.
"They aren't focused". "They had a let down after the weekend". "They look like they don't want to be there". Like all of these dumb football cliches don't apply to baseball.
This should be the summary from last night:
Our pitchers have good stuff but need to throw more strikes.
The end.

Losing a midweek to an in-state school means we winning a natty baw

It's still early in the season. It sucks, but it's far from the end of the world.

Its like some of y'all have never been around for a baseball season or something. Its all but guaranteed you are going to lose to a team that's worse than you. UCLA #1, Arkansas #6, and Georgia Tech #5 also lost yesterday. Does that mean they suck?

McNeese gave us 9 free passes. 8 walks 1 HBP. Find another excuse…
How about we’ve seen enough to know that midweek losses mean absolutely nothing & have no bearing on winning a NC
Posted on 2/25/26 at 9:32 am to luciouslou
The fact that it happens EVERY YEAR to all the top teams proves it means nothing!

Yeah, it was a complete loss, can pick apart every detail, but just need to learn and move on. It was great for Jay to have examples to chew some arse…
Posted on 2/25/26 at 9:38 am to luciouslou
Last night sucks. But it happens every year. Next year it’ll probably happen again. And the year after that. And the year after that.

Much of what happens mid week in baseball is like preseason in football where you start your second or third string quarterback. There is more risk built into these games that most often work out because of better players it’s the opposite in that mid week games for the small schools are usually big games and best attended. It doesn’t mean that Mcneese was throwing there best as I’m sure they were not but this game means much more to their season than it does for LSU. LSU must find pitching now that they can use in the event of trouble or injury for SEC play and later for tournament play. Likely Jay sees some positive with the play but realizes the nature of the problems with last nights line up.

Midweek losses happen you need to get over it. Its really not that big of a deal.

THAT’S THE POINT OF THE GAMES.
That’s why the CWS doesn’t start after game 10. Teams need some games to figure things out. It’s baseball.

Guess our national championship from last year means nothing as Northwestern 10 run ruled us last year. Some of you Karen's are so dramatic.
