No one is sugar coating anything, it was a bad loss. But bad losses happen, it’s a long season. If you think for one second Jay isn’t miles ahead of you dolts then I’m sorry, you’re just not connected to any sort of reality.

What other college baseball games have you watched this season that didn’t include LSU

Mostly just sec games, watched several Georgia games, Tenn vs Kent last two games, a La tech game, this isn't just based on LSU. We are last or tied for last in the SEC in era, wild pitchs, walks and hit batters. It will improve, I know that. But you want to start seeing a guy here n there do some good things that hasn't. To be fair we are 2nd in strike outs so you know the talent is there.

We lost a practice game where our not best pitchers got some work.

The practice squad put in their aces.

Lighten up, Francis.

Midweek losses suck in the moment don’t get me wrong, but it’s not a big deal as long as you don’t lose like 3 or 4 more of them. Enough home midweek losses to teams like that can tank RPI and potentially be the difference in a host and a 2 seed. But McNeese isn’t that bad. Not like they lost to Miss Valley State or someone like that. Southland is a solid baseball conference. Maybe the best of the non-FBS conferences in baseball

I didn't agree with Brian Kelly about spoiled, but this post here is certainly spoiled.

We got frickin run ruled by an in state school and won a national championship. Why do you think humbling losses are a bad thing?

Apparently nobody remembers the Bertman years. He would use these midweek games to try new lineups, get young pitchers some work, put kids in pressure situations to see how they responded. Obviously u dont want to lose but a midweek loss to a small school isnt the end of the world. Especially if we get some young pitchers and players some work.

Last night reminded me a little of both of those. From both a head up our arse standpoint, and some weird luck.

Nichols’ defense that night may have been the greatest single game performance in baseball history

I believe the concern should be with the starters that played didn't appear to be prepared... unless someone wants to say that the McNeese pitching in SEC worthy.

As for the LSU pitching, mid-week games should be where those non-SEC caliber plus some possible weekend guys, get there game action. But after last night, I hope LSU doesn't get to where they really need one of those guys.
