So black that we fell all the way to #7.

I get it and agree that we do need a new OC. The main reason is that Ensminger simply doesn't want the job. I don't understand why O insists on keeping a guy in a position that he simply doesn't want to be in, especially one of the importance of OC. Ensminger is not doing the program a favor by doing this "favor" for O.

I fear this will be Dinardo/Tepper, Miles/Cameron in its outcome. Orgeron is joined at the hip with E. Whether it’s stubbornness or loyalty, it doesn’t matter. Orgeron’s loyalty should be to LSU and no one else, and that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Orgeron isn’t going to let someone come in and be pronounced the savior of LSU football.

He’s going to go down his way. Ensminger isn’t going anywhere.

So lets struggle for another 1-2 years, as LSU has the past 8 years, then we will be good on offense. It's not scheme, just need better players...

Scheme and better play calling closes the gap on Talent and allows you a better chance to win and put points up while you stock pile talent, but don't let that get in your way of protecting SE/CEO

I remember when Canada's offense put up points against AlaBama in Tuscaloosa.

Wrong. Dynamic OCs scheme around poor O-lineman all the time. It’s a big reason smaller schools are able to score against much more talented teams.

No it doesn't. It shows O is committed to winning championships. Thst signal would be sent loud and clear!

#7 in the nation.....you must have a platinum life if that is “struggling” to you.

There are 128 teams in the FBS. So LSU at #7 puts them in the top 5% of teams.

How many of you are in the top 5% in your field?

Chill the frick out! Yes we lost to Bama too many times in a row. But that is a dynasty of all dynasties. Achieving what they have is an outlier and is never a reasonable expectation.

But then again...this is the rant...so keeping on being used toilet tissue of our fan base.

Other than causing a ruckus, would a plane flying around BR with a banner asking for an OC change be too much? I liked the freedevinwhite movement.

Notice no one is complaining about the defense and special teams. That's because they have been playing great are are largely the reason for our #7 ranking. If we had an equivalent offense we would be at least 8-1.

This isn't just about losing to Bama, it's about having a bad offense when there's no good reason to.

It's a mindset issue. LSU always seems to tell their QB: Don't throw into coverage, don't take a sack, don't throw an interception... Not, "complete passes, let 'er rip, take some shots,' etc. LSU can win 9-10 games a year by simply running the ball, playing defense and winning field position. Unfortunantely, it takes more than that to beat Alabama or other elite programs. You can beat Georgia by 20 points when you win the turnover battle 4-0. You lose to Florida when it's 0-0 or 0-1, however. Ed O / LSU needs to fundamentally change their approach to offensive football. Get away from the Les Miles / Charles McClendon model of "just run the ball" and head towards a more dynamic "score as much as you can" mindset.

THANK. YOU. Until we change not only scheme but also the philosophy we will never win another championship in this day and age of football.

Because we’ve never had the right guy at the helm. I wasn’t crazy about all the motion and window dressing of Canada, he wasn’t my first choice or even my 5th choice. Ensminger stinks.

This narrative doesn't resonate with me. GE just fired a CEO after one year because it was not working out. Their board wasn't worried about perception, they were worried about production. That's what shareholders and fans want.

I think there is a possibility that E retires. I don't think he wanted this job and he may just say the hell with this.

No way in hell O fires him though. Ensminger is loyal and O values that over everything else.

My post about struggling for 1-2 more years is about the addressing talent on the offensive line. It's not a quick fix. You can have a quicker fix by scheme/philosophy/playcalling. That closes the gap on Talent. How do you not understand this?

My life is great, wanna know why? I address the weak areas in life and business.

you answer first, buddy

quote:

Yes, LSU is #7 but offense is ranked 104th and at the bottom of every offensive statistical category, its a problem.

This has been the issue for 8 years, if you are unable to realize the problem on the offensive side of the ball, then I cant help.

Chill the frick out!

I'm pretty chill, I'm pointing out the problem and solution. If you want to ignore the flat tire, by all means, roll on.

8??? The bama game sucks and too many posters are obsessed with it.

The problem for LSU hasn't been talent, its been the offense and what I'm addressing, this is about the bigger picture to turn the corner, not about Bama. Sounds like you are obsessed with bama.
