If Kim was a progressive POS things would be different, but she is a hard working Conservative so no, that doesn't work in Women's basketball. I heard that stupid Bitch announcing today say it should not matter if Men or Women, should all be paid. LOL

EVERYTHING has to be connected to politics, it can’t be the fact that SC just won a National Championship and has a talent deep roster…..

I guess. Whatever makes you feel better. Mulkey is building something pretty special. Especially the next two seasons. This season could be lagniappe again.

I really enjoyed Kim Mulkey’s press conference after the game. She sounded quite locked in at being at LSU for more than just a couple of more seasons.

“I’m only in year 4”

Exactly. So thankful she is at LSU. She is really awesome.

That defense will be neutralized on a neutral court. That was extremely one sided officiating in every regard.

Most likely the next time we play lsu would be in the SEC Tournament. That is played about 1.5hr up the road from Columbia so wouldn't really call that a neutral site.

Actually it does when it comes to Staley racist arse ...she has countless times turned non racial issues into race baiting bs at press conferences or interviews into racial bs and in turn the media has countless times turned no non racial issues into race baiting bs with Kim Mulkey...

Hope we see you again. The road to a championship has to go thru your team. Y'all were the better team yesterday, but we showed we can play with you. We couldn't sustain it long enough for the win, but we comin.

They are hard to compete with. Star players all throughout the lineup. Mulkey can’t compete with that.

Don Staley has built a juggernaut at USCE..

Agreed, she has built what Gino had at UCONN where here second 5 players on the bench are better than almost all other teams 5 starters.

Give her credit for that she built something from nothing just like Kim did at Baylor. For gals who unapologetically do not like each other they have similar type personalities and success stories.

But I believe Mulkey will have LSU the premiere program by 2027

I agree, Dawn was not happy to see Kim come in the conference, because she had it all to herself. You could tell by the comments she made about how Fargas could have done the same with the same support, which she well knew were ridiculous, that she knew she would now have a battle on her hands for Queen of the SEC.

I think some tried to derail Kim with cancel culture stuff, but IMHO they only managed to delay the inevitable, I think Kim has gotten past that and I agree with you by 2027 it won't be a talent deficit anymore. Then we'll see.

As bad as we shot within 5 ft. of the goal it’s amazing we kept it so close. The 2 things that will hold this team back is the falloff after Morrow with our low post players. Smith and Wolfenbarger are just not effective offensively. We also need to be more of a threat from 3 pt. range. Teams can pack it in on us thanks to our lack of danger from the perimeter. We played SC pretty well defensively however.

There are some signs that things are starting to change. LSU killed SC in offensive rebounds with 13 more than them. LSU outrebounded them in total by 11. That's half the battle right there.

Problems were LSU shot 29% (a Mulkey era low). SC wasn't good either but shot 37%. SC had 9 more blocks than LSU though, 5 less turnovers, and the biggest difference was they shot 26 free throws to LSU's 9. The free throw disparity is a bit of a joke and has been an ongoing ref problem at home with them. LSU's actual free throw % was considerably better though.

However, if LSU just shoots better on the good looks they had, it would have been a different ball game. Credit to SC for good D too with all the blocks. But LSU won the 1st quarter by a point and were even in the 4th quarter. The 2nd and 3rd quarters is where they let it get away. It mostly boiled down to better shooting and being more careful with the ball.

Many of the blocks could have been called fouls, but weren't. Yes, being able to get away with that, causing turnovers, when otherwise would have been free throws, was the difference...even including the poor shooting %

Also, I see that RACIST Saintlsu in this thread. I am becoming fairly certain that it is Ryan Clark. If not, he has the exact same takes against white people as Clark has. Mulkey has won 4 national titles as a coach, 2 as a player, 1 as an assistant coach, and a gold medal...she has also beaten Staley 3 different times when they had similar talent (which LSU doesn't have the talent currently, but is coming).....but this absolute race baiting clown acts like it is Staley's coaching ability, not the players....and that she is a much better coach than Kim......given his assertion that Kim will never beat Dawn...which is already a lie.
