Arkansas will not pitch off...you are crazy. They must win...and can't take for granted...this isn't a damn regional. Root will probably go Tuesday against UCLA assuming we win

Nope. The Hawgs will win with a nobody on the mound. Win tomorrow & we'll see a rested Root again.
they’ll still have to play an elimination game against UCLA in that case on our day off. We’ll still be in great shape against either.

Worst case if we go to Thursday then we’d do what we did in 2023 and have Anderson going again against their depleted staff playing their 4th game in 4 days

They've won 40+ games, (i'm not looking up the exact number) beat Ole Piss twice and beat a sound Duke team twice. Yes they can beat the Hogs.

Arkansas is the better and deeper team. But absolutely Murray can win. Did everyone forget about Little Rock a few weeks ago?

Root will pitch Tuesday so if we win Monday we won’t see him!

He pitched yesterday, albeit 40 pitches, but that wasn’t a bullpen session.

He will be plenty rested from 38 pitches. This isn’t little league bub

Gage Wood is starting who is the normal Saturday starter, don’t think you can afford to throw a midweek guy in this situation

I wouldn’t consider Root rested.

Why?

90 pitches on Saturday. You think he would be considered rested on Wednesday?

ETA: I read Root but thought Gaeckle

Root is rested enough to start today.

It’s why just getting to Omaha is such a big deal, you never know how a team will do once they get there. And strange things happen.

They’re playing Arkansas in Omaha, of course they have a chance.

What? He only threw like 38 pitches before Gaeckle came in.
