This is so dumb. Moffitt teaches Olympic lifts and sent scores of players to the NFL. You think that just stopped working all of a sudden? Conditioning has nothing to do with a labrum tear or knee injury. I swear half this board is retarded.

Our OL/DL physicality is horrendous. He’s got to shoulder some of that.

Strength coaches aren’t magicians. They can’t make shitty or lazy players good. Having bad technique and not knowing your assignment will result getting man handled.

LSU lines are horrendous because they aren’t technically sound and don’t even know their assignment half the time.

He deserves some blame. We don’t dominate in the second half and some of our offensive lineman look pregnant.

He can't make the players show up to the weight room/ treatment.

Moffitt is one of the least of our worries at this point. Leave the decision to retain/ keep him up to the incoming coach.

Aren't they practicing soft? Not as physical as miles approach?
This is exactly the problem. Not enough body hardening. Not a huge deal with the WRs and DBs, but it's really showing with both the OL & DL. Easily the softest bunch we've had in a very long time.

I mean... his title is strength and conditioning coach

We haven’t been bulked out it seems since Elmer Fudd was in his prime LF7 days

That’s what O has said but it’s BS. Orgeron has been going full Ole Miss ever since the UCLA game, trying to make practices more physical. Obviously he has failed at that.

Ok? He also has to design the S&C program as a whole which is super fricking complicated and easy to screw up if you’re lazy

No, he’s been gifted a bunch of genetic freaks over the years like Fournette and Stingley who would’ve been NFL players if they’d committed to Southern. Moffitt makes his money on guys like Kardell Thomas and Travonte Valentine and he’s done a piss poor job of improving guys who come in overweight or aren’t genetically gifted

You’re the retard pal, having poor conditioning can 1000% make you more injury prone. Stick to talking about shite that you understand

You are off by 25%. More like 75% have developmental disabilities or a seriously abused childhood.

Moffitt isn’t solely to blame. There’s plenty to go around. He and his staff are responsible for establishing a physically and mentally tough mindset amongst the players. He’s with them more than any other coach by far. I bet there aren’t many strength coaches in the country who have been at a school more than 10 years, much less 20. Things have gotten stale. Thank him for all of his efforts but it’s time to move on.

I won't say "deserve"...but as a strength and conditioning coach, helping to limit injuries is a part of the job. So I guess the answer by default is yes.

Once again, Moffitt CANNOT FORCE the players to show up to the weight room. The one guy who has that power can't be bothered to ensure Moffitt can do his job. Why? Blonde bimbos are more important.

Let the incoming coach decide whether to keep Moffitt or not.

Moffitt was just fine in 2019, but lost it in 2 years?

LSU was not out physicalling opponents in 2019. It was one of LSUs weaker defenses and the OL was not a mauling one. Again finesse team that had the right players to work it.

Moffit has been on the decline for quite some time and that even was before O taking over.

Jesus, Les miles really did a number on y’all in terms of what you think good football is

LSU had the best team in CFB history & you insult by saying “it was a finesse team with the right players”?

Hey dumb frick, I want more of that. You can have muh mauling lineman & 3 yards of dust

Lol, If he can’t then Ed O has seriously limited his coaching staff
