Does Moffitt deserve any blame for LSU players dropping like flies?

My heart goes out to all the players who have been riddled with injuries. But poor strength and conditioning can definitely be a factor. (Boutte was a freak injury and he was one of the nations top WRs before he got injured so probably the exception). But all year long seems like players have been less durable than they were before. Am I wrong?

Moffit has been an issue for a few years now.

It would appear that our players did not put in the required time in the weight room .
Players are weak and tire quickly.
Poor conditioning also leads to more injuries.

So, yeah Moffit and his direct supervisor are both to blame

He pitched a fit when O almost didn’t get hired. He knew he would be out.

He is on borrowed time with O.

No doubt he does. And definitely in strength also regarding our trench players.
How do our linemen typically perform in the strength portion of the combine? They rarely impress.

Moffitt was just fine in 2019, but lost it in 2 years?

Why did Saban try to hire him this year?

He should be gone. Only guys really worth keeping are Raymond (obviously), Mickey Joseph (Good WR coach, deep recruiting ties in Louisiana), and Andre Carter who seems to be really well liked by everybody involved with the program and has done a solid job with the DLine in particular the ends.

20 years doing the same job is a long time for anyone. Things get stale and that’s likely what’s happened here. Moffitt has been an elite strength coach, but it’s time to blow this thing up. Our OL/DL physicality is horrendous. He’s got to shoulder some of that.
