No. Neither Jump or Holman should throw a single pitch until regional play. This isn’t the CWS. These games are rather meaningless in the overall scope. It’s not worth risking your Friday and Saturday starters. I’d love to win this tournament, but it has to be done with the rest of our staff. All hands on deck.

Jay has said pro players pitch on 4 days of rest and if the player feels good about he'll let him pitch. So you're a dumbass you fricking count!

From Koki earlier

quote:

Jay Johnson on whether Guidry, Ackenhausen and Herring would be available to pitch again this week: "Obviously with next weekend in mind, we have to listen and feel (their bodies) maybe a little bit more than we would if it was the middle of the season."

Doesn’t sound like he’s going to push them which I 100% agree with

In the Q&A from today he said they were out tomorrow. Didn’t see Sunday mentioned. I don’t think they will but he hasn’t ruled it out

Why would he risk injury or fatigue to his studs when the games this weekend are, to be honest, meaningless? LSU did what it had to do and now the important thing is to be 100% ready for the tourney. JJ said that was it for Jump and Holman, but its obvious.

I think all of you calling everyone stupid are stupid.

There’s nothing wrong with Jump coming into the game in the 8th/9th inning of the championship game on 4 full days of rest to preserve a lead and basically throw the scheduled bullpen he’d throw anyway.
Holman will start Friday and Jump will have another 5 days rest after throwing a measly 20-30 pitches.

He’s not going to be tired for the regional or have any ill effect b/c he threw 25 pitches on 4 days rest.

Your a Count and an LSU fan. Where is your castle located and do you (perhaps) also like to drink blood from time to time?
