Define mediocre for the class, please.

Mediocre to these people is SEC title berths 1 year removed from a 35 man roster.

Heisman winners.

Top 3 recruiting classes.

National Championship’s 5 years ago.

Kelly is a consistent winner everywhere he’s ever been. It’s his last hoorah and he’s going to get it done before he retires, because LSU will finally be what he needs to get it done.

Tiger Fans, why don’t y’all go look at what Notre Dame Fans are saying about Kelly, and Freeman now? They sure came to their senses didn’t they?

Get used to mediocrity, that’s what BK is, the definition of mediocre.

Wrong.

He’s got one of the highest winning percentages of any current coach that’s been coaching for more than a few years. Hes far better than “average”.

but that should seriously bother you, right

I’m not happy about it. Losing faith in BK.
But I’m also not upset that we are not top 7 after 2 games when a bunch the teams ahead of us play each other and we play some of them.

LSU will show on the field that they are or aren’t a top team. And after 2 games, so far they’ve shown they aren’t.

Not currently but subject to change at end of year. Both my mood and SEC rankings that is.

Not at all, being two games in. It would not bother me if at any point in the season they were not in the top 7. Just enjoy the competition and be a fan.

LSU fans are spoiled. BK might not win a title but you’ll still win 9-10 games a year and have a steady ship for the next HC.

And sub .500 vs the top 25 for his career which has only gotten worse since he’s at LSU, (49%) to (33%). The trend isn’t very positive.

I’m more worried about our defensive line and secondary.

There’s only 1 program who has been better than LSU the last 25 years. There’s only 2 programs who would not trade places with LSU since 03, Bama, and maybe Georgia.

In terms of titles, yes. In terms of consistently being a top 5-10 team on a yearly basis and actually being a legit threat to win titles on a yearly basis, absolutely not.
Our average record over that time is 9-3. Not mediocre as some have said but definitely not elite or consistent enough to satisfy our fanbase. Or most power fanbases. Ryan Day is a Michigan loss this year, or underwhelming season away from being fired. With a better record than us by quite a bit over his time. Some are calling for Dabos job. Gotta have perspective.
Those titles are great and we enjoy them greatly but the half life on them is 2 years tops. Ask Ed Orgeron.

Not one bit. These rankings will change every week and LSU will improve moving forward.

We are having to correct hiring mistakes on the defensive side of the ball. This has affected recruiting. We now have a solid defensive staff and it’s showing in the recruiting trail

Everyone can count / thanks Grand-Dad

if LSU handled USC-West in week 1 we'd be top 10 but it's only week 2 and ratings mean nothing this early in the season

Have ya'll not paid attention to who 3 of those 6 teams played? lol only ones that played true P4 teams were Georgia (Clemson), Texas (michigan), and Tennessee (NC State). LSU would be top 10 too if we didn't play a team with a pulse as well going into week 3

Did you know that in Nick Saban’s 3rd year at LSU, we went 8-5? Lost to Auburn 31-7 and Alabama 31-0. True story.
