If it trends west and it's played there, I think there would be logistical issues.

There are some real in the know weather guys on the OT ... maybe ask there what their thoughts are.

rds dc is one of them ... check out his thread. And just fyi, GTMO is being evacuated -- families, pets ... was interesting to read the thread about it.

Sorry, but this does not look like weather that gets a game moved.

It depends if it trends further west and over Florida.

Hurricane winds would frick up Gainesville and hosting a game at 11am would be a logistical nightmare.

If there were winds at 27mph that'd make it at least entertaining to watch. Wouldn't be able to throw it very far in one direction, the other would be some hail mary looking passes

There is a real chance of this happening.

Not to mention depending on the track the team would fly there Friday, correct? I just keep checking in on rds dc posts.

FWIW, Florida's open date is the weekend that LSU plays Ole Miss, so Ritter & Company can't try to screw us by making us play the Gators before Bama.

They certainly have shifted the track west since the 2pm update. Another shift like that to the west and the game would be in jepardy

High pressure systems in the Atlantic are pushing it closer to the coast.

travel plans bruh

Short answer is, it's too early to say one way or the other but yes...this has potential to be a non factor, or can just effect LSU's travel plans, or could effect the game itself. I think right now, they're looking at all scenerios

I was set to go to the game in Columbia last year, but the flooding moved it to Baton Rouge. I am set to go to the Florida game this year, Matthew can go screw himself.
