Dude, look up how many Auburn players are or were in the NFL from Tubbs tenure. The year he went undefeated he had an entire NFL backfield, QB & O-Line.

You can't please every Tiger fan but I think as long as we continue to win and he dosen't have any major game/time management issues you won't hear alot from those folks.

there is no way in hell the other team can be better than us.
so, Kentucky was better than the National Champions in 2007??? Ole Miss was better than the #10 team in the nation in 2009???
Are you mental?

Ronnie Brown, Caddy Williams, Stanley McClover, etc.. all I know is that Auburn had some seriously great talent during Tubs tenure. I think all of his RBs were NFL draft picks, you can't say he had medicore talent. It was his failure to keep up with recruiting and hiring a bad OC that cost him his Auburn job.
And you really think Bobby Petrino, Al Borges, Will Muschamp, Gene Chizik were not quality coordinators? The only year his offense had a poor OC was 03 with Steve Ensminger, funny after he hired Al Borges he went undefeated.

Funny that Purdue managed to kick a game winning field goal in the EXACT same scenario
It is not possible with one second on the ball to have the ref start the clock and then spike it or hike it or whatever you want to do. Once the ref moves his arm to start the clock the ball in placed down...the CLOCK starts a fraction before the play can be run....thus 1 second becomes 0.
YOu are really that stupid.....but judging by what other posters are saying on here about you...I understand now. I wasn't too stupid to have a knee-jerk reaction in 2008 and 2009 and hope that Les gets fired. Luckily our administrators weren't that stupid either. WE would not be in the position we are in right now, and that is fact. It really is funny how you kids think you know it all, and you really know so little.

bull shite. THe guy had cadillac williams ronnie brown and brandon jacobs and Jason campbell. At wr he had ben obanamu. Carlos rogers on defenese. That was just some of their undefeated team. I can start naming other NFL guys from his tenure if youd like. Or you could stay ignorant your choice.

Leslie
Sure sign of bias and hate. No objective fan or human, for that matter, does this.

And some cannot seem to understand that Saban took over a team coming off 4-7 and 3-8 seasons while Miles took over a powerhouse one year removed from a national championship. Yeah, same thing.
Powerhouse? At the end of 04, our defense was awesome, but our offense was pretty mediocre.

I want to see a complete season from LSU without playing to the level of the competition or without the brain farts we've seen.

quote:HOLY shite! Did you not fricking watch the Purdue field goal clip I linked. It was the EXACT scenario. The clock stopped with ONE frickING SECOND on the clock after a first down. Purdue ran the field goal team on and snapped it just as ref signal for clock to start. They kicked and won the game. How in the world can you say its "not possible" when I just showed you undisputed evidence that not only is it possible, IT HAPPENDED!!!!

Why can't Leslie pull this off given the ridiculous amount of talent we have at LSU?
What "Leslie" has done is to win more SEC West games since 2005 than any other school in the SEC West, LSU has won as many SEC West titles as any other school in the west in that time, as many NC's as any school in the nation save Fla, be ranked in the Top 5 among BCS schools in wins, have 4 of 6 seasons with at least 11 wins (tops in the SEC), have 4 of 6 seasons NR in the Top 8 (tops in the SEC), and be 29-1 in OOC games (tops in the BCS).
All of this done at a time when the SEC is the deepest, most powerful conference in the nation as witnessed by the fact the SEC has won 5 BCS titles since 2005 by 4 different members.
Tell me how many coaches on that list can match that while playing the best college football has to offer on a regular basis?
If you want to get all ate up over 2 L's in a season vs. 1, knock yourself out...I'm just gonna enjoy the never seen before overall coaching success of one LSU coach.

so you reference 2 games? I forget LSU has never beaten a higher ranked opponent. People are strictly talking about 08 and 09 seasons. Some of those teams were just better than us. Ill leave it up to you to complain about winning a bcs championship.
You act like LSU is the only team in the country that has struggled to win games or that lost games they shouldnt have.

Is it that hard to comprehend that people would prefer to have arguably the greatest coach in college football coaching us?
Its not a knock on Miles at all.
