Does Anyone Else Feel Like LSU Football Is Finished?

I am not talking about not having a good QB or the fact that Les Miles is the coach or Decline or recruiting or even the product on the field.
I am talking about the leadership from the President to the AD to the boosters. Saban came in 15 years ago and addressed all of that. Skip Bertman corralled it all and made it productive. Now? It is full blown amateur hour.
This is how LSU was from the 70s-90s. Everyone else was modernizing and LSU was stuck in the past with people using LSU football as their personal plaything.
It seems that we are back to that, and if so, LSU Football has MUCH bigger problems than Les Miles or a lack of QB development. For the first time, I feel like the run is totally over.
They care more about what ESPN thinks of them than what needs to be done to keep/put LSU at the top? Unreal.
Am I wrong?

Finished playing games in 2015? Probably.

We're shifting into Tulane mode.

The news today was certainly a punch in the gut. It appears there is an agenda to neuter athletics until academics get their way. It is very political and it stinks.
The academic side needs to cut its costs first before it starts begging for money (ie, tax increases).

I agree. It's unfortunate and there is nothing you or I can really do about it.

You obviously were not at the LSU-Houston game in Dinardo's last year

Check my post history and you will see I am in total agreement with you.

No I was not. Didn't Houston win that one?

We'll be losing recruiting battles to Grambling for decades to come.

Dear God in heaven.
Some of you people make me want to kill myself.

You can stop going to games, decline to renew your season tickets, stop giving money to LSU football.
Those things happening in large numbers will be the only factors that might get King Alexander's attention or give rise to a power surge to reclaim the football program back from him and his political influences.

I think Kevin Faulk needed 3 TDs in the last 5 minutes to pull out the win IIRC.

This was Alexander's big stand. He's shown in the past he's a whiny little bitch, crying before the legislature. This was him sticking it to Alleva, the fans, and basically the entire athletic program.
He is saying until I get my budget increased, nothing will be spent on athletics. Alleva's been neutered, he's a puppet at this point. Not only did he stop the Fisher deal, he basically advertised it today in that interview, so everyone would know how things are going to be.
LSU athletics is in trouble.

OP is spot on. It's really depressing.

That was 96-Dinardo's second year. In his last year they came in and whipped us.
