When A large portion of their advertising dollars comes from the Gambling world then you put it into every show you have. It's not just a Friday thing. Usually switch it off as I'm not a gamblers when it gets to talking lines on directional state v St tech U. Who gives a F!

I also remember growing up in NO, some nights Hap Glaudi’s sports casts would consist almost entirely of point spreads and Fair Grounds racing results.

Don't listen. They run these shows because they are getting insane deals for advertising.

Most of those guys would likely agree with everything in this thread(except Ott, who's probably a degenerate gambler himself). But they're getting paid to shill for the sports books.

Ott is a degenerate gambler and loses all of the time. Apparently though, he’s all 104.5 has. He is fricking awful. Can’t stand listening to him on radio or in person.

Maybe, I just remember how he used to go back and forth with Mike from Plaquemines when he would call. MFP obviously had issues and Jimmy just seemed to be belittling the guy. Maybe I read it wrong but it seemed that way to me.

I started listening to Chuck Oliver's podcast for the drive home instead of Ott. I'd much rather hear decent college football talk than Ott talking to some dickhead about his picks for regular season NBA and NHL games
As bad as Ott is, there's a syndicated program on Saturday mornings, before Sports Shorts that's way worse. They literally say shite like "If you put together a few thousand dollars this weekend and listen to our picks, you could have $60,000-$80,000 after the Monday Night football game".
