My mom went to undergrad school (USL) there so I don’t hate them per se.
That said, I find it a travesty that they’ve been allowed to brand themselves as University of Louisiana instead of ULL or USL.
ULM and Southeastern have every bit as much right to pursue such branding but both know their place, unlike ULL.
LSU is the University of Louisiana and everyone knows it.

I generally pull for all LA teams including ULALA. The envy is real ,however, and there are too many fans of teams like ULALA and Tech who really do not like LSU.

I definitely pull for any Louisiana team that isn't playing LSU. While in the student section when I was in school, we would all scream "LSU!, USL!" as they waved the big LSU flag back and forth from the endzone.

Don't mind them, but the "Louisiana" thing is tryhard bullshite that they need to stop.

I went to school there when it was USL and again when it was ULL. Liked it a lot, but was always a Tiger fan.

I never think about them. I don't even follow football games between ULL and LSU because to junior school out of Lafayette has 1) not only lost all 22 games they've played 2) including the worst LSU blowout in history 3) they have yet to score a touchdown ever on the Tigers!

Grew up in Lafayette. They do hate LSU. Jealousy and we make it easy to hate us. I was dating a girl also from Lafayette at LSU we decided to take Summer classes together. We were Jrs and the instructor as us if we were transferring. The girl said "No, we are just here this Summer to get our "A's". That didn't go well. We both got A's though.
Flash forward... My middle daughter goes there and gets in state since I graduated from LSU. They consider any child of a LA public college graduate as a legacy. She loves it there and the costs are low..
I am a fan of ULL now.
