It just gives me the biggest tickle seeing the SEC nerds putting other teams in their place.

Obviously I'm not pulling for anyone but the Tigers, but Candy Vandy winning, especially against Bama and Kenfricky, gives me a weird amount of joy.

Vandy is Dandy

Lyrics:
Vandy is Ranked

Well the October scene,
Is a grinder for teams,
And the hopes of so many have sank,
Much to much folks chagrin,
Teams have won who don't win,
And their bad bets are costing them bank,

And now what's this I spy,
I can't believe my eye,
Though the tears of the gumps have been drank,
Bama's out of the mix,
Even refs couldn't fix,
And we've really got one team to thank,

Now Vandy is ranked.

What a year now that Vandy is Dandy,
Yes it's sweeter than Halloween Candy,
Vandy's on quite a roll,
On the path to a bowl,
When's the last time my mind's drawing blank,

Hell Vandy is ranked

Now it probably won't last,
Judging by recent past,
Quite a while now a decade it's been,
Call them underdogs, nerds,
Just the thought is absurd,
But I hope that they do it again

Well they did it to Bammer,
They laid down that hammer,
And then they put the hurt to Kentucky,
But the Longhorns, you sees,
Like to buy referees,
Against Texas they'll need to get lucky,

It's no prank,
For now Vandy is Ranked

I hope they win out until they get to Death Valley. Low odds but I want them bowl eligible at least. If they can somehow beat Texass I'd be giddy.

And we better show up to play them. This ain't the Vandy of old.

My favorite teams are Lsu and whoever is playing Alabama.

I'd pull for China before Alabama

I pull for teams based on how their game affects LSU. I've even been known to - on occasion - pull for Bama when them winning also helps the Tigers.

Then I take a shower with Clorox and Listerine when it's all said and done.

For example, I wanted Bama to beat the Vols yesterday. Both teams have a conference loss, but LSU doesn't play the Vols during the regular season this year.

So I wanted Bama to win because we get a crack at them in our house in a couple of weeks. Bama coming in to Death Valley with one conference loss and 10RC having two losses is better than Tenner only having one loss.

(Edited to change "root for" to "pull for" - thanks to the poster who explained the difference. FTR, I'll never "root for" Bama, but I might pull for them in a game if them winning helps the Tigers).

I was pulling for Tenner yesterday because frick Bama but I'll be pulling for Georgia and Vandy when they play them. Vandy is my dark horse giant killer this year. Honestly a tad worried about playing them if we get complacent. Their QB is the real deal

If every team could go 0-12 besides Texas and LSU, I'd be happy.

I only want teams to win/lose when it involves the teams I root for to get where I want them to go.

I root for all SEC teams until they play LSU! I want all SEC teams to win so we are a lot better team when we beat them. I loved Univ. of Texas getting a wake up call! All I said was, "Welcome to the SEC!"
Manning looked like a joke! Maybe, the media will stop gloating over him now. He was a loser not going to GA where they promised him the starting job there. If he had he would have looked like a QB god last year with a championship. Loser! Still not starting!

When SoS matters at the end of the day you need to have this mindset. Essentially you want every team undefeated coming into your game. Obviously not possible especially as the end of the of season creeps near but the best record possible.

"Rooting for" is different than wanting to see them win..barely. Get out of the game winning, beat up and showing their weaknesses, for your coaches to plan with, is more like it.

Anyone who wants all teams to lose other than theirs don't look at it straticly, and then whine when their team isnt ranked as high as "they think they should be". Though it may not matter as much with the 12 team playoff.

Hell no, unless under one circumstance. Bama losing has to be THE reason we make the playoffs. Im okay with missing out on the SECCG.

Hell no. I wanted Bama to lose. Tennessee will lose against UGA by 2 TDs. Their stats are still skewed off Chattanooga, NCST (who is trash), and Kent St (1 of the 2 worst G5 teams). Their defense is pretty good, I'd say it's at least top 15, and likely top 10 when all said and done, but it's not #4 good. Nico is a 195 yard 1 TD 1 int QB. I will say Dylan Sampson is legit. Louisiana native will lead the SEC in rushing, and is the only good thing about that offense. I also think they get upset by Vandy, at Vandy, in the last game.

screw that. I'd rather they be 0-12 for at least the next 10 years.

i also have Tennessee on upset alert for that Vandy game.

Im not worried about Pavia against LSU. Blake Baker knows exactly how to scheme for guys like him. Especially in the 2nd half of games. Vandy is susceptible to a good RB or good pass game. That doesn't mean they can't win. Bama and VT lit them up passing, Vandy still won. Mizzou and Kentucky lit rhem up running, they were 3 points away, on the road, from beating them, and they did beat Kentucky.

Truth of the matter is, LSU is closing more and more holes on their team every game.

My wife went to South Carolina so I pull for them when they aren’t playing LSU. It’s not a big deal.

No, that's not enough. It needs to be super critical to do this.

Came here to say the same!

I’d pull for ISIS against Bama.
A&M is quickly becoming as hated, but mostly because I live among their fans

After almost 20 years up here I have gotten where I am kind of pulling for Mississippi State pretty much any time they aren't playing LSU.

Will generally root for other SEC teams against non-conference teams, except Alabama and Florida. Take great joy in seeing them lose in anything.

Service academies. Always for them.

In general, southern teams over northern teams.

In general, western teams (except USC/UCLA) over eastern or northern teams.

In general, X State University vs University of.

Texas better strap up this weekend bc Vandy’s gonna pop em in the mouth as soon as the bell rings.

in regards to the question, hell no. frick ALL of em, but especially aTm. if the Aggies were playing a team of all-stars from the Taliban, Hezbollah, Hamas, North Korea and China, I’d root for the all-stars.

bunch insufferable bastards who can’t pour piss out of a boot with instructions on the heel.

The tiebreaker to get to the SEC CG is based on opponent records. Pull for everyone on LSUs schedule.

I pull for LSU. Then Tennessee (wife). And then I pull against several teams. Then I root for CHAOS.

For non-conference games I almost exclusively pull against SEC teams not names LSU and Tennessee.

I'd no more root for Vandy than I would Tulane. At least Tulane isn't leaching off of other programs. frick Vandy. However, I will root against teams, and the ultimate embarrassment in the SEC is losing to Vandy.
